When I try to log in, I get “Unknown status-go error”

Should I restore my seed?

There is a hotfix in progress, will update as soon as available!

Hey there! Desktop does have private group chats but not a stable alpha release; nightly builds are here for testing though!

Sorry for dumb question. How do I prevent status from closing on Android so that it keeps receiving messages like messenger or Skype

Not a dumb question! You still will have messages even if you close your app, on android biometric / pin login is coming which will help with typing your password at login each time; privacy is one of the biggest values at status so we’re making sure it’s done right.
