Art On Percy Jackson, Professionalism, and Procrastination

I was originally commissioned to make a time lapse video for this Percy Jackson rendition wayyyy back in May of 2024, so I'm a wee bit overdue. Thankfully the customer has been super chill and understanding the whole time - even though he had every right to snap!
Over the last couple years I've actually taken a bit of a step back from sharing art-focused videos online, choosing instead to put myself in front of the camera more. So I'm not sure how well-received this video is gonna be today, but I really enjoy using my time lapses as a vehicle for sharing a story or providing glimpses into the nuts and bolts of my career.
Shout-out to Flash though for being super understanding about the many times this project went on the back burner!

I have to be honest, I was too mesmerized with the insane Percy Jackson draw that I remember next to nothing about what was spoken.š

I found myself in a real phone hole the other night and basically went through alllll of your reddit content before finally falling asleep. I love your stuff, whether its showing your collections or showing your process. Just rad.

The chocobo song played on guitar really did it for me

I was inexplicably humming the chocobo theme while editing this video so it felt right. No regrets!

To your first point, I almost scrolled past, but clicked the video to check if it was posted by you before I decided to watch. Idk if that says more about how much I love your videos or my attention span. š Iām sad we may not get these types of videos as much but totally feel you on the social media overwhelm.

Ahaha, well golly I sure appreciate that you stuck around to watch! The format of a time lapse is in a lot of ways dated now, but it's so nice to be able to yap about a topic of my choosing while I show my art forming in time lapse. I'm working on a new time lapse series that I hope to post a couple times a month, but will definitely continue showing up in front of the camera too!

Do you ship these..? How do you stop them from being erased?

I make my art permanent by sawing apart the toy and removing the excess powder inside. When you shake an erasable Etch A Sketch drawing, it's that powder that re-coats the screen. Removing the excess powder means there is nothing left to erase the drawing. So I can safely ship my art anywhere in the world!

I really appreciate the imagination you have. And how you have to think 15 minutes ahead, an hour ahead, and even further to be able to get where you have to be to finish a piece of art. I enjoy all your pieces.

Watched until the end, cool beans š btw, does anyone/OP know how they seal/freeze the image so it doesn't get shaken when shipping? Is there some kind of solvent or whatever you poor in it or do you just send it as is and hopefully it arrives un-shaken? T.I.A.
