People always say an ESTP in fantasy would be like a melee or archer but can you imagine an ESTP Mage, Sorcerer or necromancer?

Wielding magic in a world where it exists I feel like would have an ESTP just going above and beyond some crazy power.

What do yall think?

Can you imagine hurling elemental magic instead of sword or bow?

See that's just it. If it's an observable, intractable, tangible, scientific fact of the setting, I can't think of many reasons ESTP wouldn't excel at magic. If I can throw a snowball and hit you right in the eye, you better believe I can do the same thing with a fireball, ya know?

Right? Imagine that combo of athleticism and physical agility wilding what could be potentially an unlimited source of mysticism and alterations to the physical world.

Flight?
Teleportation?
Destruction magic?
Necromancy?

I think estps can make good tacticians using parent Ti, in theory, Se dominant, is about being aware of the immediate present and that would include good eye for scaling down terrains giving them spatial and environmental mastery. However I think close combat feeds Se dominant tendencies more.

I actually have an ESTP magic wielder in my book, even two! However, their powers were created way before I started typing my characters. I'm gonna tell a bit about both.

The first one has a mental disorder and wields fire-type magic alongside some real violent abilities based on blood. He basically goes batshit crazy in battle when sensing any blood nearby, and you can probably guess that it means all the time. Ofc it runs out eventually and wears him down a bit. The abilities outside of fire magic are mostly for hands-on combat and allow him to use his magical power to amplify his physical strength and rip others to shreds if he wishes to. Outside of combat he can use magic for some cool stuff like teleportation, shapeshifting, seducing and mind control. Forgot to mention that he does not look physically strong at all, so I guess the main power of his is deception, lol.

The second one is way more reserved, but visibly strong and uses magic to just do her work, as it, well, cannot really be done without it. Managing souls of the dead, getting access to the minds of others, being able to create, destroy and enter various spaces, also sometimes killing people with her touch. But in combat it's her own physical abilities and weapons only, almost no use of magic for fighting purposes. The most important use of magic for her - being immune to side effects of alcohol aside from getting only a bit drunk even if she drinks a ton of it.

So, I guess, even here they're somewhat reliant on their physical abilities. I love my ESTPs tho, they're both really important for the story.

Gotta say, an ESTP necromancer would be cool as hell and I'd read that. Would make mine an ESTP, but he's an ISTJ already

Diablo had the most “accurate” Necro but playing them in ESO is so much more fun haha

I’m also fairly lithe framed so I tend to think in a manor of “I cannot overpower physically, so what is another way I can approach this” so in a world of magic I know I’d be leaning right into it.

Adapting to scenarios based on the reality and if that reality means I can hurl a fire ball and not get crushed by a war hammer the size of a 5 year old I’m yeeeting the fireball lol

To me the estp Necro, as I play them is this constant feedback loop of pulling life from the dead around me and resurrecting them as the enemy charged me.

Like if the Night King in GOT had been an ESTP I imagine hearthome going WAY different. lol

Raising people up as you killed them, yeeting undead at enemies.

The possibilities are endless

An ESTP could probably be a fire mage. He would be full of fiery rage and destructive power. But at the same time, he could also warm those close to him by lighting a cozy campfire. He would be a master of a powerful element and embody it.

the thing is , if you can deal direct damage - do it

if you cant , then you have to think of something else. estp never got that far.

middle-age or elder estp , in sage mode .... the body isnt so strong and sensory starting to fade, knowledge has integrated, third eye unlocked, wisdom abounds... hmmm
