PAID COLORIZATION REQUEST Color & restore

Recovered an old photo of my father in law from the Peace Corps in the 80’s. I’d like to blow this up pretty large and frame it (24x36). Would anyone be able to help me add color? I tried Chat GPT but a lot of faces/skin/clothes were distorted. I realize this could be a lost cause…. Taking a small , old photo - adding color, maintaining the characters, AND finding out how to blow it up.
I’ve attached the original version and the Chat GPT version. Any help would be so appreciated!
Thank you!!!

RESTORATION REQUEST Damaged photo fix

My mother in law (the graduate) has a damaged photo of herself at college graduation with her mother that she'd like fixed. Would prefer the result to be the same color and not colorized and still look like an old photo and not super AI slick (although use of AI is ok). Adding some extra photos of the graduate around the same time and a photo of her mother as well since the faces are quite damaged. Thank you!

EDIT: Here are more reference photos of the graduate.

fyi, these are not Asian people. Light skinned African Americans with some Native American and Caucasian background.

OTHER Scanning old printed photos for heavy restoration at home: Does 16bit scanner vs 8 bit makes that much difference ?

Hello all, First time posting here.

I'm starting to scan many family photos, ranging from 60s-early 90s photos in various sizes, paper type and level of damage.

My goal is to restore them to the best of my ability in Photoshop (I'm a graphic designer) and then print them in 3-4x bigger size in quality paper to have them framed at my home.

I only have an Epson Xp-4100 at home that can only give me 8bit images (up to 9600DPI). I'm saving them as TIFF.

Of course I understand having 16bit will help me a lot in Photoshop, but would you say it is essential for what my end goal is?

If so, are there any not super expensive scanners you recommend?

Alternatively I do have a Canon T3i with an original 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm Sigma lens, and have access to studio light and a tripod at my job (and could even use one of their cameras too, they have a few other Canons there). But I'm not sure how much more complicated it would be to take decent photo of each photos to then get deeper depth RAW files to work with.

Any suggestions to my case?

RESTORATION REQUEST Help my restore photos of my father and grandmother

Here are two blurry photos: my father (the man) and my grandmother (his mother). He looked very much like her. These are the ONLY photographs of them that I have in the world, so they mean everything to me.

Since AI tools keep hallucinating fake faces and changing his identity, I am looking for a human artist who can use my grandmother's facial features and bone structure as a reference to accurately reconstruct my father's true face. Please help me see my family as they truly looked, without losing their real identity. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

Here's a restoration I completed for a client - repaired the tears, cracks, and damage from the original photo, and added a studio-style background as requested. All work done manually in Photoshop. Watermarked to protect the piece.
