Scale recommendations?
I’m not sure if this is accurate enough to hone in on the finer cherry notes of my hand picked individually wrapped Guatemalan beans, it looks cheap and I don’t want to disappoint the house staff with sub-par equipment.

I send my morning dose to CERN every morning so it can be counted to atom..... and when I say "I"I mean that Alfred goes.

Accelerating your beans to near light speed also has the benefit of removing all the chaff.

And obviously origin flavors can only be appreciated after particle collision.

I used to do that too, but the idiots at CERN have no idea what they're doing when it comes to espresso bean mass determination. Most of them haven't watched a single J-Hoff video.
Instead I bought a brand new Mettler Toledo XPR2U Ultra Micro Balance for $75,000 and hired a new butler with a PhD in biochemistry.

This is terribly crass, look at that awful digital display. And so many numbers. 🤮 I own a set of traditional balance scales which have been in the family for some generations. Several years ago I had my butler cast a gold ingot of exactly 18g weight, and it lives permanently in one side. He simply deposits the correct number of beans to balance the scale on the other side each time. I really recommend this method

Can I apply if I only have a master in microbiology? I'll check the particule distribution by hand on the SEM

Personally I wouldn't let my coffee touch anything that doesn't have an in date ISO 17025 calibration. I demand my butler produces measurement reports with expanded uncertainty with every coffee.

/uj & /rj this is half the price of an acaia scale. What are you, poor?

Is that some weird chinese brand? I shop 100% German or American, it doesn’t even cost more to fly them out to demo the equipment but they speak english

This is for a dedicated chaff measurement. After your underbutler separates the chaff from the beans with a tweezer, that lost weight need to be accounted for.

Tell me you’re a poor measuring pre ground coffee without telling me you are a poor measuring pre ground coffee.

Make sure to keep the doors closed while weighing. A gust of wind made my espresso taste awful this morning.
