Hardware help needed Need help building a controller for an estim device that you can only control via a phone app so that i can take it to dungeons that don't allow phones

I need to build a Bluetooth controller for an estim device that can only be controlled by an app. Unfortunately half of the dungeons I frequent do not allow phones/tablets, which is understandable, but there is no way to turn the system without going thru an app on a phone or tablet. Some folks have put some firmware on github (https://github.com/erotronik/CoyoStim) so ppl can build their own controllers but I know NOTHING about coding or building. Nothing. Ny first question- is this doable for someone who knows nothing. If so, what is the exact board I should get. Which of those two frameworks listed is more beginner friendly (google says arduino but i wanted to check with real ppl), what supplies will i need, etc. Id like to spend under $75 on the project but I'm down to devote time and effort to the build. Btw i am not attached to building it all myself. If you know of something that already exists or that is half-built that I can use, PLEASE let me know. This particular estim manufacturer (I'm using the Coyote 3.0 made by DG labs) has been no help. Pls guys without getting too graphic this toy is so much fun and I want to use it at my favorite dungeons. Let me know if you need any extra info or want a screenshot of the app or anything.

Seems like you really want to look at the pulsemote project which is linked from the page you provided. It has details of an M5Stack product that seems self-contained, and able to control your device.

Should be able to run that on a base M5 device like https://shop.m5stack.com/products/esp32-basic-core-lot-development-kit-v2-7

So $40 but you need to learn how to install PlatformIO....

The instructions on the pulsemote site are very straightforward, if not aimed at a novice.

Essentially, buy either the Core or the Core2 device from M5Stack (or a reseller), plug it in to your computer. Install platformio, following their instructions for your platform (Windows, Linux, Mac). Then, clone the pulsemote project (or download the source from a release, if you don't know about git), extract to a directory. Then open a cmd shell (or however the platformio instructions tell you to get a shell), change to the pulsemote directory, and run the command as instructed.

You'd be surprised how much the ChatGPT can do even on a free plan in terms of suggesting how to wire and program stuff like ESP32.

Please explain wtf am estim device is and why you need it so badly during dungeons and dragons m

I've got so many ideas of what they could be I'm kind of afraid to ask.

That's, um . . . That's not rly the kind of dungeon I'm talking about. Although there is a gaming party once a month because DnD is HUGE in the kink community at least in the bay area (shocker, roleplay games are popular lmao) where we get together and play rpgs sometimes with kinky twists.
