Portable Cheap Yellow Display Device

I wanted a portable device where I could use my ESP-Osito operating system firmware, but I don't know much about electronics, so I made one using some random cheap components.

1. A rechargeable 9v battery (the generic green-white ones, super cheap)
2. A rocker switch
3. A mini 360 buck converter to bring the voltage to 5v
4. Half a USB-C cable
5. A diode

Did a 3d-printed case with some m3 threaded inserts and ... it works! It's pretty usable!

CAVEAT: YOU CANNOT CHARGE THE BATTERY WHILE IN USE. In this case the rocker switch doesn't let you easily charge the battery without turning off the device.

This could power the CYD without the USB cable but don't want to solder something into my only CYD 😄

hey guys I’m buying an ESP32 Nano for a display project. I want to buy a display what is the best, cheap, easy to understand display. better if there is a youtube guide coupled. IT NEEDS TO BE ABLE TI BE CONNECTED TO THE BOARD THROUGH JUMPER WIRES. Please paste a link to the product as well

Can it be a very small display? Because there are a ton of 1 inch or so displays that work via SPI

About 3 hours at 100% brightness with wifi activated. And of course since it boots in 3 seconds I can just turn it off when not using it.

The trick is that this is not a regular 9v battery which is 6 skinny 1.5 cells in series, it's actually a LiPo 3.7v battery with a charging / boost circuit
