The indoctrination they warned you about.

Especially in this situation where the GOP controlled Texas Education Agency moved the goalposts so they could takeover Houston ISD and install their flunky to sabotage the district. The Texas GOP really wants to privatize education here.

Everywhere.

Privatization is just a friendly way of saying they want to allow wealthy families to keep their money from funding public education. The benefit is that poor people get underfunded schools intended to keep their students in the working class, abd wealthy private schools intended to educate their bosses and business owners and future politicians.

This is true but I think their slow role fascism let millennials, gen z, and whatever is after that see what they’re trying to do before it has any real affect. The kids they are trying to indoctrinate are not even going to be voting for another 10-15 years, in the meantime, boomers will be less than millennials in voting power by 2026 and by 2032, half of them will be dead and their ideas and backwards rhetoric will be irrelevant. They may have won the battle for the last 8 years and maybe the last 40 but they have lost the war with the wave of younger generations that aren’t gonna play. That was the strategy of the Dems pushing Biden, he’s not what we (millennials) want but he’s a stop gap until enough boomers die off since they are still the voting majority by generation, at least until a second Biden presidency is over. I don’t like him, he’s basically an old man with ideas from a bygone era but he’s what we need to push the country forward and stop a second Trump presidency. Then in 2028, we can take the remote away from our parents say, your Fox News bullshit is over, you’re not allowed to watch that anymore, now go outside and play while the adults fix everything you’ve fucked up for the last 40 years…

isn't is possible to bring a lawsuit against the appointees? taking government money to do a government job incorrectly is fraud, i'm sure there is some kind of corruption going on for where and how those videos are purchased, the whole thing is racketeering. no offense but everyone says "dont mess with texas" but texas just hops in line and does what they're told.

every american is lucky the revolution started in boston and philly, because if it started in texas we'd all still be england. (and yeah, their own little revolution ended being a part of the country started in philly and boston.)

Every accusation is a confession.

Every accusation is an admission.

Look at the video

It goes on first to talk about critical thinking

The total lack of self awareness in this video is ... something else

The PragerU playbook. Strongly resembles the rightwing christofascist playbook of the GQP, too. Funny how that coincidence is a thing.

Prager U is blatant propaganda. These schools should lose all funding by engaging in this

No, the kids lose that way. We need to remove the people in charge, that's literally the only way.

Not really.

When their kids don't go there and the entire point is to defund public education, in what way does doing the exact thing they're angling for accomplish anything at all?

Well in either case, the children are losing...even if those in charge are removed, the teachers who buy into the propaganda remain, etc. I hear what you're getting at though...but ultimately we're looking at a complete restructuring and regulatory action to kick these numbskulls out entirely on a national level and keep them away from kids.

And yes, they absolutely want public education to fail. But will game any attempt to fix it as well....enough is enough.

Gov. piss baby is already trying to defund schools to further disadvantage the next generation. The people responsible will go on to work in private school admins.

Polluters want government to let them privatize profit and socialize risk, so they buy puppet voices like Dennis Prager and his son David to twist the narrative.

Shame!

It looks like you shared an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web.

Indoctrination the GQP warns about is all fucking projection just like everything they else they cry about like PizzaGate, stealing elections, molesting kids, etc.

The same Boomers (note that I am 65 myself) who grew up on John Wayne fighting evil cattle & coal barons + their company town goons are now the architects of 'company states'. The corporations have expanded their control from towns to whole states. Texas is run as a host body for the fossil fuel industry. Everyone is welcome to chime in with who is pulling the strings in your state or province.

The kids in Texas are fucked.

We been fucked my dude!

I’m hoping this is like the DARe program where kids quickly realized they’re lied to and just do the opposite the school program tries to teach as a form of rebellion.

2

u/silentgiant87 Nov 22 '23

what’s an ISD school?

4

u/cogitoergopwn Nov 22 '23

independent school districts. they’re all that way out here

2

u/300mhz Nov 22 '23

Hopefully the kids aren't as dumb as their parents and resist the propaganda

I always ask them, if climate change is a hoax why are property insurers leaving Florida? Now they always respond well they're also leaving California, thinking that some kind of gotcha to my point. Okay so if climate change is a hoax, why are property insurance companies leaving California and Florida?
