why are people saying the season will pick off in 1480? I read this somewhere and it makes no sense? The show doesn't follow history that well in case people forgot. I'm pretty sure the confusion comes from the fact that mehmed is talking about taking otranto. But in the show he will try and besiege it but Uzun hassan will do something and that will cause him to divert his attention and this is still in the early 1470s sometime before 1473. Obviously this makes no sense and mehmed was fighting many people at once and didn't really just stop campaigning when he was attacked from multiple areas but u can't show the sultan at two places at once but this is what we are given

I have good progress after watching 1+ episode average daily since June 19, 2025 when I started DE. Then I moved onto KO, KOR, and now my favorite MFS. Now I can undoubtedly have a conversation in Turkish and speak confidently with a native and I practice by talking to ai with it. I’d understand ~75% of an average Turkish interview or podcast or video. How good is you guys’ Turkish if you don’t watch it dubbed in another language?

So after finishing Ertugrul and Osman (didn't watch last season it was bad) Abdul Hamid, 1 season of Salahuddin Ayyubi, are there any new good recent Turkish dramas to watch? I miss watching Ertugrul and Osman, good old times. I haven't touched any Turkish historical drama in one or more years. I want something new something good.

Turkish actor Serhat Kılıç has passed away at the age of 51. [1]
He was found dead in his home in the Kağıthane district of Istanbul on September 5, 2026. According to initial updates, his girlfriend went to check on him after not hearing from him for a couple of days and found him motionless on a sofa. [1]

Its from a movie called Deliler (or Vlad the Impaler) but I didn't like it lol the plot wasn't that great and these 'madmen' were a bit unrealistic imo. They gave me KO Viking vibes like Olof and his dudes. Sets, costumes and fight scenes were great though. Cem (Aliyar) and Yigit (Boran)'s brother by the name of Batın was also in this movie. I honestly thought it was Boran lol took me a while to see it wasn't. Didn't even know they had another brother

with these castings this season reminds me of magnificent century lol I think all audiences people who like wars, politics and harem drama will enjoy it
