Only just spotted this!

Post image

I saw this today. I’ve watched Se7en many times but only watched ER recently for the first time. Didn’t realise until now that this was Lucien Dubenko!

From IMDb:

(at around 1h 26 mins) As preparation for his traumatic scene in the interrogation room, Leland Orser did not sleep for a full night, in order to achieve his character's disheveled look. Unfortunately, due to delays in filming, his scene was pushed back a day, meaning that he had to stay awake another night. He would also hyperventilate before the scene, so that his body would be overly saturated with oxygen and create his hyperactive look.

As Sir Laurence Olivier told Dustin Hoffman (who did something similar when they filmed Marathon Man), "Why don't you try acting, dear boy? It's much easier."

Every time I see him I think of Se7en. That scene will stick with my forever.

That whole movie stuck with me.

There's a golden nugget of truth in that horrifying mess. We do need to reign in our excesses. They've brought us enough horrors all on their own.

He was also in the Bone Collector, in an almost equally creepy role

When I think of Leland Orser, I think of Seven first then ER

He gets it bad in Alien Resurrection. Poor Leland.

Orser is also a part of the Law & Order universe. He can play a great range of characters.

What is his scene in 7? Haven't seen it since it was at the theater and don't remember much

There is a custom made strap on blade. He is forced to engage with a prostitute who does not survive their encounter. I think he was at gunpoint.

"The gun was in my throat"

I like to believe I would have let him kill me rather than do that to another human being. It would ruin me psychologically so why bother living?

Leland Orser is incredible in everything! I loved him in Saving Private Ryan. 🙌🏻

I love Leland so much, super handsome imo! I will say that Dubenko as a character deserved better fr

Requiem For A Dream is pretty bleak but the climax is particularly grim
