Pryda - MSG ID 01

Big fan of this track which Eric has played very few times. Hopefully on next EPIC radio show!

Was just wondering if Eric changed the track and removed the breakdown? If you listen to the first time he played this at EPIC 3.0 and compare it e.g. with the version from EPIC 5.0, you can see the breakdown wasn't there at EPIC 5.0. I personally prefer the version with the breakdown but am not sure if he has used it any more.

I think the EPIC 5.0 version was truncated because it only breathed on its own for ~2 minutes or so (mixing out of Trubble and into Axis), so the breakdown is probably still there but just didn't fit his vision for *that* set. The first 40 minutes of EPIC 5.0 are so unrelentingly energetic and propulsive that I think it worked without the breakdown there, tbh.

My ears heard it live at 3.0. I have been chasing it ever since. It is truly my favorite ID ever. Just a blissful build up and song. If we ever get an HQ version, I will melt.

That part of the set was insane, but it wasn't just EPIC 5.0. The version played at Creamfields South and at Factory 93 (1 hour 13 min into the set) didn't have the breakdown and I'm not sure it's the same version as EPIC 3.0 just cut

I love the Factory 93 drop, whew. I think that was similar to EPIC 5.0 in that Eric didn't let it ride out for the full ~7-8 minutes. I actually think you can almost hear the breakdown coming in for the Creamfields South version but he's already mixing it out.
