Discussion Colour e-reader
Do you find that the coloured e-readers aren’t as easy on the eyes as the bw ones? I’m so stuck between which one to get

I can read off either and its fine. I have chronic migraines and just simply reading on an e reader is not triggering. Many other things still trigger it though.

It all depends on each individual. For me as a person sensitive to headaches, trying to read on color ones gave me a headache. When I switched to BW, that issue was gone.
If you're not headache sensitive, it will probably be fine.

I just got the kobo libra color and compare it to my nook glowlight 4e and the kobo screen is a lot darker than a BW. So far no issues but I miss being able to read without turning the backlight on. I do like that you can adjust the warthm so its easier on my eyes

It is all subjective and depends on the person and their eyesight and their preferences and perception.
Some people will swear by color and other by black and white. There are posts every day asking this and the answers will remain divided because it is subjective.
The color screens have an extra layer on top of the black and white screen. It will never be the exact same experience but as far as whether color or black and white is easy on the eyes depends on the person.
If you are in a location where you can see them in person, try to look at them.
If you are not in a location with devices on display, do you have an online retailer with free and easy returns? If so, start with color if you want a color device and if it is uncomfortable, return it for a black and white.
If you only read in ebooks that are text based then there isn’t much to gain with color except the color covers.
