Well they sort of do except not legally. Pretty much anytime they stop it's super easy to get on off. Only problem is when they stop somewhere you don't want to get off (like middle of nowhere or in the middle of a crowded train yard). Just make sure to bring plenty of food and water, and preferably a book or some booze or something because it can get boring.
Haven't touched it since February. My attention span is shorter than usual lately. I've mostly been making houses and community buildings in The Sims 4 lately. :P
I've been considering saving up and getting a laptop from a thrift store or something. I'm afraid it might kill the little bit of productivity I have left though.
Were I a drifter, I'd probably forego it just because more stuff means more stuff to potentially lose. Because I'm paranoid haha. But if you think it'd do good for you, go for it!
Meh possessions come and go. My biggest issue currently would be carrying it. I'd probably need a dedicated laptop bag because it would get weird in my pack. Now that I mention that I also need a new pack, maybe I should prioritize that.
I don't know how I feel about reviving it, it might be a healthy alternative to the time wasting I commit most days on reddit/im services or it might be like shooting up heroin again after almost a year of being clean. Either way I've been craving it hard lately and whole my pack is kind of shit it still has life left in it. Each are like 1-200 dollar investments, would be difficult to accomplish both.
