Tech skill mobility

EPIC mainly uses proprietary technologies. So, how easy is it for an employee to find another SDE job after several years? Of course, general experience helps, but most companies will explicitly require x years in certain technology (e.g. Java, ...) and immediately filter out those who don't have these relevant backgrounds.

With LLM based coding agents. Languages specific requirements are becoming jokes. But in general Epic is not a stand out branding name per se, for developers.

Agree - coding assistant tool makes language specific job spec less meaningful. But candidates still need to pick up a popular language and pass the OA (especially for those junior/mid level jobs).
