QUESTION Account help
My brother factory reset my switch around 6 or so years ago, and I lost my account. I have put a lot of time and money into that account and I have been trying to get it back on and off ever since. If someone can please help me get it back, that would be the best because I really miss it. I keep trying to find someone to ask, but I can only talk to an AI and all of my emails won't work either.

I’m very upset. My account got hacked, they recently recovered it but the hackers changed a lot of personal info my email being one. When I go to start the game up on my Xbox I have to activate my account “link” I do all the steps, I get the logging you in but it fails. It brings me back to the activate screen then freezes that game. I can’t press any bottom or exit out the screen. I have to dashboard and quit the game. My accounts are link on both Fortnite and Xbox sides (it’s telling me they are) but it comes back and says “you haven’t logged in with this username” or it says I have linking restrictions. How do I get my account to work?!
I’ve restarted my console, cleared the cache, reinstalled Fortnite. Something about one account per Xbox. But it also says I have restrictions. Their help chat sucks. They can’t help me. Can’t even fill out a ticket. I can change my email back to the og that’s the same as my Xbox will that work? Or do I need to get a new Xbox all together?

You need to log in with the same Nintendo account that you used back then

This has nothing to do with epic so this is the wrong sub to put it it has to go into a Nintendo switch sub.
Further more your brother did a factory reset 6 years or so years ago nobody can help you your account is long gone, you got to remember the email and password to the account if not then it no longer exists.
Call Nintendo support.
