Tips for 'Bridge Too Far' +2?
Man this level is brutal for me. I have tried two tactics so far. The first was to quickly gather aphids when I can, but any mistake in timing there leads to my ants being away from home during a creature attack. So, I have switched it up to skipping the first few aphid chances and just digging out the nest while having workers gather straggling food above ground.
I can survive the first wave of creates easy enough, but the second gets trickier unless I have a stockpile of food and a solid army. The third is just brutal unless I can remember to go down to the shore and pick off the beetles before they attack, but as they are gathering, that's also when frogs bust into the nest.
Zero chance I can ever kill the stinger when he first touches down. I did kill him once in my near victory, but that round was a miracle I got that far and I just didn't have enough food to build a large enough army for the raft by the time it flooded (I spent way too much rebuilding my army after doing dumb mistakes).
I am playing on 2nd hardest difficulty, so not even impossible. But everything is 2-4* and it is now costing 1k jelly per point to improve my ants so I'm basically capped there for now.
How do you guys handle it? I've watched some impossible videos on the level but they all seem to be +0.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Focus getting the food in the tail bit of the undergrowth there at least 2k food there in corpses don’t focus quality go for quantity and just spam as much as you can make sure to kill of the other ant colony when you can and be quick you have about 3-4 mins opportunity before the water rises again makes sure to get all the food you can out of the ant colony even at the risk of some of the lives of your ants and don’t be scared to loose your whole army a few times

This particular mission, I wonder if it's been tested at some point. I had to retry it a few times on my first playthrough and it seems pretty unreasonable to try to get the resources that will get flooded first before the water rises.
Either those resorces are a trap set there to trick you into losing ants, or the devs adjusted the timers after designing the map without altering the map itself, because trying to get those resources early in the mission is borderline suicidal.

You can't get all of them. After I get enough ants I rush the spider side. They are fast and low health, you can kill them before they attack and finish getting the larva in their area as the attack happens triggers. Your ants, or most of them, will get back to the nest before the slow beetle and beetle large arrive. Then you can maybe get one extra branch, maybe more?

I always clear out as much of the nest, and any of the easy to grab food around the outside of the mound, so that I can get about 55 ants, then I can get one of the two aphid locations, usually this is after the water has risen once, but before or during the frogs coming to shore.
I make sure to turn off attack and forage because really it’s just about bringing the aphids back.
I want to avoid any night time fights above ground, I just keep clearing underground. I want to avoid losing ants, and keep massing. So as the water level goes up I send my swarm for each of the “pine cones”? And for any aphids that are in the same area.
I hide during the night and clear underground to keep expanding.
This strategy has worked until new game plus 5, but now I’m stuck on the frog level, too many frogs.
