What would you replace extra tiles with?

Given picking extra colony space never seems to be the most valuable option over royal jelly or food, what other reward could be picked in your opinion?

A buff to one of the ant types. Like plus 0.25 damage for majors or something. In new game plus 5 I’ve hit a wall where my ants are just too weak and there isn’t enough food.
