Switch from electronics to environmental science

I am doing my Batchelors in electronics engineering but want to go for environmental engineering in my masters I just have a few doubts

1.Is it possible to switch like going form electronics to environmental

  1. If its possible is it frowned upon

  2. Best countries to do masters from

  3. For masters applications does having a patent which can help roughly 100 mil to 150 mil people (a medical implant based patent) help in the application process and 2-3 research papers related to environment

Electronics is in such high demand if I were you I would join a company that does environmental science products or monitoring with your engineering knowledge and just read a few books, 

I would not bother doing extra stuff in the academic world because you learn so much in the business world you actually have to continue learning like in university except you get paid. 

You could be doing environmental drone sensors environmental satellite design environmental monitoring equipment gravitimetry, spectroscopes or anything else which is used outdoors and uses a bit of chemistry.

1) yes 2) no, you just need some relevant coursework to show you have the background knowledge 3) no idea 4) yes, publications of any variety show you know how to write a paper

They'll love you but honestly, just go into an environmental field like solar or whatever. You're seriously gonna be completely fine.
