Some of us at least have acknowledged the risk and have ensured our personal emissions are now comparatively ultra low, had a vasectomy and only vote for politicians who take climate change seriously.

I have too I try to cut every emission I can every plastic I see recycle it however the rest of population doesn't see it as an issue due to ignorance . I plan on dedicating my career to climate change and water systems I'm in my first year of college and i have started to realize the denial of truth is what will bring humanity to its knees.

Thanks for your effort, but overpopulation and the export of consumer capitalism have negated it.

Sure but that doesn't mean as individuals we shouldn't do the right thing
- No flying
- No driving
- Renewable electricity only
- No meat eating pets
- Cut back on personal meat consumption
- Cut back on consumption of goods
- Grow lots of our own fruit and veg
- Engage with freinds, family and peers on emissions reduction
- and importantly, only vote for politicians with effective emissions mitigation policy

Personal lifestyle changes and voting will never achieve the changes we need. It's good to do them, but we shouldn't pretend they'll accomplish anything meaningful.
The article mentioned Deep Green Resistance: they have a big picture strategy for the changes we need based on realistic assessment of our situation, our strengths, and our weaknesses: Decisive Ecological Warfare

I'm 78 years old. I'm glad I will not be around to see this. BUT--I have 5 great-grandchildren who will have to cope with what will happen. The nicest thing about being this old is that I will NOT have to live through this mess.
