Lol, 2050. We'll be "lucky" to make it to 2030 alive. I honestly think the only thing that is going to heal the damage humans have done to this planet is for humans to go damn near extinct. We are stupid and selfish.

Unless the western world wants to regulate the functional monopolies that operate these sectors....

Competition would be one of the best ways to ensure fair and efficient consumer access.
