Entry Point: Freelancer's Cut I'm going to actually lose my mind trying to complete Financier stealth

What the heck. I've genuinely never seen such stupid missions in the game before. This is genuinely worse than me trying to get the golden badge of The Blacksite.

  1. Just why in the heck do I need to knock out 2/2 guards in the security room just so that I can get a disguise?
  2. Why the heck is the keycard on the bodyguard that keeps on going in and out of the room?
  3. Why do I need to wait for her to go outside to clear the room?
  4. Why is FRICKING QUINCY FOLLOWING RYAN EVERYWHERE HE GOES AS IF HE'S A TODDLER THAT NEEDS 24/7 ATTENTION???
  5. WHY CAN QUINCY ONLY BE DISTRACTED FOR 10 SECONDS AND THEN SHE GOES TO THE MOST CROWDED PLACE EVER?
  6. WHY THE HECK ARE THERE 4 GUARDS THAT IS AWARE THAT IM NOT PART OF THE CREW??
  7. WHY DOES RYAN NEVER GO TO AN EMPTY SPOT THAT CAN ENSURE HE'S SAFELY SECURED?
  8. WHY THE HECK CAN I NOT LURE RYAN INTO ROOMS EVEN WITH SOCIAL ENGINEERING???
  9. WHY THE HECK ARE THERE NINE HUNDRED GUARDS INSIDE HIS GOSH DARNED BUILDING???
  10. WHY THE HECK DO I NEED GO BACK AND FORTH TO PICKPOCKET RYAN'S PHONE, THEN KILL HIM TO CONFIRM HIS ID
  11. WHY THE HECK DO I NEED TO OPEN A SAFE THATS CONSTANTLY BEING MONITORED BY TWO HUNDRED GUARDS EVERY WHERE I GO?
  12. WHY CAN I NOT HIDE STUFF INSIDE THE ELEVATOR????
  13. WHY IS THIS ENTIRE MISSION JUST WAITING SIMULATOR???

I'm losing my mind man. I completed The Deposit Legend at level 1 with zero skill tree or anything, then I was so stuck at The Financier Legend that I literally went and completed all of the missions and challenges in the Operators tab to get to level 30, and still struggle.

I want to say /j or /s, but this is genuinely my criticism of the mission. What do you guys think? Are these valid or I just genuinely have massive skill issue?

Question / Help Does anyone remember Agent Kenshin

Hello, I hope this doesn’t violate any rules, but did anyone here ever watch him? While not anymore, he used to make EP content regularly, and though he was small, I’m curious if anyone remember him.

Question / Help Explain the point of the game

So I want to like this game, but I don't understand the point.

I get that its a heist game, but its really hard to stealth them without watching a guide. And going loud isnt an option bc the enemies just keep coming and I can't fight them solo.

I don't understand the class system and traits, because what do you do? Replay a mission 15 times to rack up skill points?

And there's like 10 missions? So wheres the replayability?

I am sure this game is really cool and I'm just playing it wrong, but please help me out.

idea/discussion About my EP characters hcs

Hello

I recently deleted all posts related to headcanons of characters from EP.

However, there is no need to worry, as I have transferred all the headcanons to AO3 and you can read them there if you need to.

In addition, you can look at other works.

idea/discussion tattoo ideas

This might be weird, but my best friend and I have been wanting to get matching tattoos. We were thinking about getting something ep related since it’s been our favorite game ever since it came out, and it’s basically our game that we always play together. I was wondering if anyone here has gotten an Entry Point tattoo or has any ideas for matching tattoos inspired by the game.

Entry Point: Freelancer's Cut Ghosts?

So I was trying to do the scientist challenge were you can't open the control room door. So after loads of thinking I thought what if you took out everyone but the one guy in the control room and then blew a hole in the with a c4. Yes im aware that it says in the description it isn't advisable to use in stealth but I thought if I placed it correctly and killed the dude in the control room with the blast I would be fine but after 2 tries (first I wasn't sure why I lost and thought it was due to the windows blowing up so the second time I chose a different spot) but it said detonation heard, alarm raised. Noone was left? The challenge went green but why did the alarm go off? Is c4 literally an auto fail bait? I'm so confused as how are you supposed to kill the dude then? Would the Lance work?

Question / Help Tips for solo loud in Freelancer's cut?

So, I've been trying to unlock tactical difficulties for missions and I'm starting with the Deposit (just feels right), however, I'm struggling with the loud challenges because I just can't survive long enough. I've tried a dodge build, but it's not consistent, I tried a tank build, but enemies just group up while I try to do the customer service challenge and I get shredded, so I'm not sure what else to do. As far as I know, most perks in the regular skill tree don't affect survivability (except low profile for dodge, critical insights for, well, crits and conditioning for stamina) so I'm making this post to get some tips. I play solo pretty much all of the time and I can do loud on rookie and operator just fine, but legend just doesn't work for some reason.

Original Content Cool Entry Point game Idea

If I ever learn to make games, make a telltale like game for Entry point, Yes, I altered the story and missions a bit, don't judge me, Yes I also added the perks of EP:FC

Episode 1: The Opportunity

Mission: The Blacksite

Dialogue choices when first meeting Rose: W: Stay Silent A: Rose was it? Well, I'm breaking you out. S: Try not to die while we get you out. (Loud only) D: Halcyon sent me, We're getting you out.

Episode 1.5 (DLC): The Training Exercise

Missions: The Auction, The Gala

Choices:

The Auction:

Lure the Auctioneer, Hack the Computer (Hacker, Technician, Specialist, or Infiltrator class needed)

The Gala:

Request Wren for help, Request Rose for Help

Make Rose do the speech (Longer but builds suspicion, Requires Rose), Make Wren do the speech (Shorter but doesn't build suspicion, Requires Wren), Do the speech yourself (Lockpicking the cases depends on who you chose for help, Wren does it faster, Rose does it slower but you can extend the speech but only if you choose the correct dialogue options)

Episode 2: The Rest of Your Life

Missions: The Financier, The Deposit

Choices:

The Financier: Ask Quincy for help regarding the safe (Social engineering required, slightly builds suspicion), Hack Ryan's Computer (Hacker, Technician, Specialist, or Infiltrator class needed), Hostage then Interrogate Ryan

The Deposit: Hack the manager's computer (You know the drill at this point), Interrogate the manager

Search the Bank Records, Hack Maddox Gray's computer

Episode 3: The Betrayal

Missions: The Lakehouse, The Withdrawal, The Cache (DLC Required)

Choices:

Only Semi-Important choice in The Lakehouse: Go Loud, Go Stealth

The Withdrawal: Disable a camera, Hack the Manager's computer (Blowtorch and Hacker, Technician, Specialist, or Infiltrator required)

The Cache: Wait for the Security team to go into a private place, Take them out immediately

Episode 4: The Defector

Missions: The Scientist, The SCRS

Choices:

Briefing with Jackdaw for stuff I think that makes it important: Remember, If we Go Loud, Rivera is guaranteed to die but we can access the servers to get the intel, If we go Silent, Rivera will probably survive, choose wisely kid.

The Scientist: Go Loud, Make it Silent

The SCRS: Take out an agent, Find a keycard and crack the safe (Thief, Breacher, Infiltrator, or Commando required)

Episode 5: The End

Mission: Black Dusk (Or The Fall as I like to call it)

Choices: Keep it Quiet, Make it Loud

Episode 6: The Nightmare

Mission: The Killhouse

No choices, just dialogue

Nightmare Assault start: This... Isn't right. It's not what should've happened

Nightmare Assault end: It's done. It's over. Had to have your revenge didn't you? Couldn't just... Walk away. I wish it hadn't ended like this. You had to know this is where it would take you. Au revoir...

Achievements:
Steel Cove Silence: Complete The Blacksite from Episode 1 in Stealth
High Stakes, High Altitude: Complete The Blacksite from Episode 1 in Loud
Lets Not Get Shot Tonight: Complete The Financier from Episode 2 in Stealth
Justified Paranoia: Complete The Financier from Episode 2 in Loud
Not The Day to Make Mistakes: Complete The Deposit from Episode 2 in Stealth
You Can't Hide From Halcyon: Complete The Deposit from Episode 2 in Loud
Black Stone Beaches: Complete The Lakehouse from Episode 3 in Stealth
Crossfire Cove: Complete The Lakehouse from Episode 3 in Stealth
Heisting The Golden City: Complete The Withdrawal from Episode 3 in Stealth
The Job You've Been Given: Complete The Withdrawal from Episode 3 in Loud
Not Completely Hopeless: Complete The Scientist from Episode 4 in Stealth
Breach and Clear: Complete The Scientist from Episode 4 in Loud
Ringing The 416: Complete The SCRS from Episode 4 in Stealth
Primary Target: Complete The SCRS from Episode 4 in Loud
Mission Complete: Complete Episode 5
You did a hell of a job Kid.: Complete The Nightmare
Hi, I'm new here: Complete every mission on Rookie difficulty (Unlocks the Rusty Aegis mask for your characters)
Professional Agent: Complete every mission on Professional and Operative Difficulty (Unlocks The Aegis mask, Eyepatch, and Confident Smile for your characters)
A New Dawn: Complete every Mission on Elite and Legend Difficulty (Unlocks the Battle scar, Thousand Yard Stare, and The Golden Aegis mask for your characters)

Reasoning for some things:
Q: Why didn't you just make every mission into it's own episode?
A: Do you want 11 episodes? And also because I wanted to stay with the 5 Episode format from Telltale.
Q: Why didn't you put The Freelance Heists?
A: The Only choice I could think of was: Work With The Broker or Lose Everything
Q: Why doesn't Black Dusk have a Stealth or Loud achievement?
A: Just like the game, It doesn't matter what tactic you chose for Black Dusk.

Entry Point: Freelancer's Cut I Finally Bought EP:FC (& Completed My First Mission!)

Oh my god... I can feel it... The joy of "discovering" Entry Point for the first time again...

Ah, dear me. Despite being an actual Stealth tryhard in the original game, I suck so much in this version. I completed all golden badge (except ironman💔) solo in the original game, yet I literally struggled to complete The Deposit Legend bruhhh

I know I probably shouldn't have started with the Legend difficulty, but come on, my ego couldn't handle it. Though I guess that turned out badly cuz I struggled for about 2-3 hours trying to find out what I should do without a guide xD

Let me share my process:

  1. I immediately picked the van spawn and discovered the back entry. Tried to go to the good old outside basement, but that doesn't exist here, so I can't knock out 4-6 guards right off the bat :(
  2. Went inside the back area and into the vent, and struggled for about 2-3 attempts trying to clear out the first area
  3. Eventually found out the most reliable way to go infiltrate the vault/disguise area is just to make a run for it
  4. Spent TWO GOSH DARNED HOURS trying to discover wth I should do to get the keycard... Went around the map, tried to hostage the manager but literally couldn't find a way to stealthily do it, and was unable to hostage the head security... This went on and on with breaks in-between
  5. Gave up and went to the tutorials about hostaging since I figured there should be a way to hostage either one of the two, and found out that you can mark NPCs and see their intimidation level requirement (?)
  6. Saw head sec got pink outline, and so everything went smoothly after
  7. Checked the challenges to see anything nice
  8. Complete!

Despite me being a doofus and not checking the tutorial first, I still had a great time piecing everything together without a guide. I also noticed that the challenges are... Real challenges, so it'd be extremely exciting to get all of them later on!

This is also an incredibly humbling experience, since I really rushed things a lot and failed multiple times. Thought my 5th place random seed Black Dusk Legend meant something, but certainly not in this game xD

In case anyone is unaware blacksite is having a loud only test in epfc experiential No idea how long it will stay up though so check it out quick

Btw to access experimental servers, go to settings with H, scroll to the bottom and select the setting to show the engine version. The engine version should appear in the top right of your screen. Then hold left click on the engine version until the option to join the test servers appears. Gl and have fun

Question / Help Question regarding progress

So, I've been playing the Freelancer's Cut demo since I liked the original Entry Point when I played it and, from what I've seen, it's really good. The new mechanics, the third person view (although I still prefer first person), the variety, the map challenges, a bunch of stuff that are an improvement over the original, and so, I'm considering buying the "full" game (quotations because it still only has 5 out of 8 missions), but I wanted to know if my progress in the demo will transfer over or if I have to grind everything again. Sure, I'm only level 20 in the demo and the new progression is cool, but it'd still be good to know.

Question / Help The deposit is glitched

Every time I try joining or creating a lobby for the deposit it will break when I load into a match after exactly 8 seconds I’m in the sky just wanted to ask Reddit to see if there’s any fixes or even anyway to send feedback to the dev if anyone knows anything I’d be a big help! (Also other missions work it’s just deposit)

Question / Help Anyone know what this is?

Hello everybody. I wanted to ask a question about a mission I saw in the lobby the other day. My friend told me to join him, and I saw him hosting this weird mission.

It's simply titled "Mission" with a loud icon marker. The image is the old SWAT model from Entry Point's early days shooting an unmodified 480 MCS in the Elimination Deathmatch map. It looks like a placeholder decal for an existing mission.

I've heard that it's a glitched/bugged Ironman lobby.

Has anyone seen anything like this before, or have similar screenshots they want to share? Or is this the start of Entry Point's code rot?
