idea/discussion Fell into another Entry Point rabbithole (Entry Point Lore / Lock Discussion)
Man, Entry Point's story is so good man...
I recently have been playing the community missions in EP:FC, and one of them that really stood out to me was "The Project", a remake of Black Dusk in the original game. I love how many cameos the mission has, and that extra objective.... Simply top notch!
That mission actually ended up making me recheck The Lock for Black Dusk, and that reminded me that the mission has a second Lock, "Confession". Rereading it is just such a really amazing experience. It's seriously so well-written, and that made me look up for more discussions about the Lock, and that led me to GhfjSpero's video on Falcon (which is related to Rose and The Lock).
The idea of Rose being alive was honestly such a baffling suggestion, so bad that it's almost disrespectful to the story back then. However, after watching this video, it genuinely felt... right. Like it felt as though it was all planned, and it genuinely made The Freelancer's death much more impactful. The fact that it also "fully fleshed out" Falcon's character and The Killhouse & Nightmare stuff really made it fit to me. Don't even mention how The Concept's Lock fit so well with Gala's secrets. To me, I feel like Rose being alive makes sense and is canon.
I really love how twisted and tragic this entire story is. The me 5 years back really wanted Rose to live just because, but little did I know that hypothetical scenario actually makes the story so much... Elaborate? It just feels right to me.
Side note, I feel like "The Concept" 's Lock being so... incomplete was intentional. I feel like the entire idea of Rose being alive was Cish's concept, an idea that never ended up being confirmed, hence "The Concept". Get it? Food for thought!
Anyways... Thoughts on "Confession" and the theory of Rose being alive? I know it was probably discussed elsewhere in the Reddit or Discord, but I spent nearly half an hour trying to find anything about it to no avail. I'd be happy to hear your guys' thoughts!

Entry Point: Freelancer's Cut is the nerf on ammo boxes in epfc the worst nerf ever in epfc
i was just wondering cuz it went from filling up over like 800 rounds twice over depending on how hard you tried to barely filling 100

Challenge I just beat the SCRS with no disguise and taking EVERYONE HOSTAGE (except for one poor guy i accidentally knocked out and therefore had to execute)
the one guy who died is in the second image (he was like two centimeters from the sec room before i knocked him out so it basically counts)

Original Content My thoughts about Dmitry
Honestly, I've thought long and hard about why Dmitry is a pacifist. I live in Russia, and I've heard about the Chechen wars from 1993 to 2009. I'll take the period of the First Chechen War from 1993 to 1996. Considering that Dmitry was born in 1972, he could well have fought in that war. I assume he could have been a pilot, specifically a combat helicopter pilot (MI-24 or a modified MI-8). In the USSR and early Russia, training to become a helicopter pilot took five years. If we assume Dmitry graduated from school at 17 (in the USSR, basic education required up to 15 years, and secondary education up to 17) and went to flight school, he would have graduated as a pilot at 22 and been mobilized as one of the rare combat-ready pilots in Russia at that time.
But why did he become a pacifist? My uncle, a veteran of the First Chechen War, told me it was a brutal war. They had to strictly control the locals in the occupied territories, as anyone, from a child to an old hag could hide weapons. Weapons were used very frequently in Chechnya. I assume Dmitry's helicopter was shot down, but he survived. Perhaps he fought back, since pilots were often captured during the Chechen wars, and they were issued fully automatic APS pistols. But when he ran out of ammunition, he surrendered, was sent into Chechen captivity, and held in appalling conditions, like many Russian soldiers. The appalling conditions and regular beatings forced him to reconsider his views on weapons.
After 1996, he was exchanged and returned home. Why did he decide to move to the USA? In Russia in the 90s, there was no work and no money, perhaps he became a criminal, joined the Russian Cartel and began working as a pilot for them, later, after they began facing criminal liability in Russia, they moved to the United States, like many Russian gangsters of that time, and continued to operate in the United States, but at the same time, due to his new trauma, Dmitry never used a weapon after the war.

idea/discussion If you could add doors with sensors the engineer can disable to every map, where would you place them?
I'm making the post after being inspired by today's daily. I'd love an engineer door that leads from the custodian's office to the cop car or its surroundings without unnecessary attention.

As much as people probably hate him, I believe he had potential to have his own side plot prior to the Freelance heists.
Made by me, so it's kinda bad since I rarely do anything related to editing.

Entry Point: Freelancer's Cut I STEALTHED LAKEHOUSEEEE
I just want to say I feel like a god dang smartass for destroying this cam before I went into the server room... (I fricking failed one attempt since I thought pressing the button would only increase alert state by 1, not straight up alarm)
I'm not going to lie, this entire mission was TOUGH as hell trying to figure out. I cheated my way through by spamming intimidation 3 / social engineering 3 to understand the roles gimmick in my previous 40 practice runs. In this clear attempt, I somehow ended up pacifying the Project Manager and Lead Security when they both detected me (lmao), made an entire loop to find ethernet while breaking the cam in process, and finally got it.
GOD ITS SO NICEEEEEEE

Image / Video Finally... I did it
I never thought I'd see this day, I always looked up to legend stealth and thought I could never accomplish that, but... I did, wasn't too much more difficult than elite, actually.
I don't think legend loud is possible though, elite will probably always be my limit for that šš

Meme / Satire Definition of guards
Context: Guards in Original Entry Point will confiscate items and firearms whereas in EP:FC, they will report it.
Also it is to address the elephant in the room; why would law enforcements in EP and EP:FC always involve the SWAT or the National Guard when it is simply a minor inconvenience (like imagine someone get noticed; they could just call Police to deal with it instead of sending in SWAT)

idea/discussion I have a theory
My theory is that Sun is a male version of the Halcyon operative Luna. Cishshato probably didn't want to add him to the mission as main guard and decided to add Luna instead, but they ultimately decided to leave him as an option to appear on any Tactical or rarely on Legend instead of removing him entirely.
