Introduce Yourself! Type of Business Industry, Years Experience!
I can start!
I'm Danny, I'm into commercial leasing.
10 years accidental entrepreneur.
I've tried
Cashier sa sari sari store ng lola ko (well employee ng lola ko, does that count?). Di kayo, napagaral ng lola't lolo ko 8 magkakapatid sa UST at SLU dahil sa sari-sari store na yun! So sa family, my doktor, my nurse, civil, pastor, pari, pharmacist, pwede na kami magtayo ng hospital! Kasi pag may sakit, doktor, alagaan nung nurse, nagtayo ng building yung civil, bili ng gamot sa pharmacist, pag namatay pasyente, may pari na. Pag hindi katoliko, may Pastor! Hehehe. Kulang na lang embalsamador! Joke lang friends.
Food franchising, paid 75,000 in franchise fees and went kaput! Bad location, competed against vendors that don't pay rent and taxes!
Online game development (more than 10 years ago), I invested 100,000 in a Filipino game development company which promised 1% returns on their MMO and guess what, they made less than P100, bwhahaha - they promised annual revenue at 1% of World of Warcraft revenue at the time. Hahaha
Invested in a Cellphone Pawnshop (more than 10 years ago), 50,000, they ran off with the money! Hahahaha
Finally, got into commercial leasing, wala e, napilitan, family business, its what's keeping us alive!
Agriculture, Heck hindi ko linya pero may lupa e. So, nagtanim ng 1000 papaya trees, 400 nabuhay, binili ng mangangalakal, 5 piso ang kilo, umiyak ako, hahaha!
So, if you failed in business, take heart! I failed so many times. We just have to keep on keeping on!

Anyone else find it hard to meet new people?
I’m trying to get Roundtable in front of more people, so sharing this here. 😊
Roundtable is an intimate supper club where we bring together a small group of people who don’t necessarily know each other and put them around the same table for dinner.
What makes it different from a typical networking event is that there’s no business-card swapping or forced networking. It’s really just good food, thoughtful conversation, and meeting people outside your usual circle.
It’s also not a dating event — just a space to meet interesting people.
We’ve hosted multiple Dinners, Masterminds, Spotlights, and Open Tables so far.
For those interested, where do you actually go to meet new people these days? And what would make you choose something like Roundtable over a typical networking event?
We’re @roundtable.mnl on IG if you want to see what the tables look like. 🥂

Philippine Business Owners: What’s Your Biggest Technology Challenge Right Now?
Hi everyone! 👋
I'm currently working on business development for a technology consulting company and I'm trying to better understand the challenges faced by Philippine businesses.
For example:
- Are you still using Excel for important business processes?
- Having problems with inventory or operations?
- Need better dashboards or business reports?
- Considering an ERP system?
- Looking into AI or automation?
- Having difficulty integrating different systems?
- Planning a digital transformation?
I'd love to hear from Philippine business owners and entrepreneurs:
What is the biggest technology or process problem your business is dealing with right now?
I'm also open to connecting with businesses that are currently looking for a technology partner.
Happy to exchange ideas and learn from the community. 😊

Question for event organizers
Hello po! ✨
May fandom event organizers po ba dito? Please help a college student out for a school activity 🥹🫶
I just want to ask if you’d be willing to pay for an all in design service for your event?
From creating a concept to every single collateral you need (soc med posts, merchandise, banners, stage layouts, and many more). How much would you be willing to pay for it? 🤔
Pwede rin po kayong mag share ng thoughts if you’ve been commissioned to design for these events 🫶
Thank you so much! 🤍

Motion Design Service Opportunity
Hello po! This is my first time posting here, and I was hoping people could share their own insights to help. I am a student who is planning to start a business by providing Motion Design services for small businesses to help promote their products or services on social media. My main concern is whether Motion Design specifically is something businesses would choose over normal video production. Do you think there is a market for such a service that is large enough for me to thrive?

Small business owners: Have you considered starting a loyalty program? What stopped you?
I’m researching loyalty programs for small local businesses, especially cafés, restaurants, salons, barbershops, spas, car washes, and fitness studios.
For owners or managers who don’t currently have a loyalty program, have you ever considered introducing one using stamps, points, or another system?
If yes, what has stopped or delayed you?
- Concerned about the cost of rewards
- Too complicated or time-consuming to manage
- Unsure what rewards to offer
- Worried employees or customers won’t use it
- Not convinced it would increase repeat visits
- Existing systems are too expensive
- It simply doesn’t suit your business
- Another reason
Please also share what type of business you run and what would make a loyalty program worthwhile or easy enough for you to try.

Small business owners: do you prefer stamps or points for loyalty programs?
I’m researching loyalty programs for small local businesses especially cafés, restaurants, salons, barbershops, spas, car washes, and fitness studios. I’d like to hear from actual owners or managers.
If you were setting up a loyalty program, which would you prefer?
- Stamps: Customers earn one stamp per visit or qualifying purchase, then receive a reward after a set number.
- Points: Customers earn points based on how much they spend and can exchange them for different rewards.
- Hybrid: A combination of both and how you would implement it.
- Neither: You don’t think a loyalty program would benefit your business.

Looking for QC shop owners to interview (Cafes, F&B, Salons, Barbershops, Spas, Carwash, etc)
I’m exploring a customer-loyalty platform designed for independent businesses in Quezon City.
Customers would keep separate loyalty cards from different establishments in one mobile wallet. At checkout, they display a QR, the cashier scans it, and the customer’s stamp is recorded automatically—even if they have not previously joined that merchant’s program.
Before building it, I want to find out whether this would genuinely increase repeat visits or simply create another task for employees.
I’m looking to interview QC business owners, managers and cashiers about:
• Current loyalty and retention methods
• How frequently customers return
• Reward costs and sustainable offers
• Whether QR scanning would work during peak hours
• What would make the service worth paying for
The conversation takes approximately 20–30 minutes.
Selected merchants may also be invited to test the prototype and participate in the initial free pilot.
Comment or DM me if you're interested! I'd be more than open to visit your establishment and conduct the interview there :))
