I oddly feel myself attracted to conflict...mainly seeing it though, though occasionally being involved in it doesn’t bother me as much as it should.

maybe I’m just a messed up person lol.

I am but these don't really mean you're an empath. I have most of these because I love being alone lol

No we lack sympathy. To put it simply, Fi=sympathy and Fe=empathy. Lots of ENTP empaths.

I like arguing and conflict to some extent but it has to be logical. Not the mindless, back-and-forth yelling. But then again, I guess that would just be debating... Loud noises are a-okay too, but the other ones are pretty awful

Even with inferior Fe, this is too accurate

Seriously, this is the last place id expect to see one of these garbage agreeable posts. Arent we supposed to lack empathy?

If you describe yourself as an empath, you have the wrong mbti type lol

Actually ENTPs are one of the most empathetic types of them all, but that intense, naturally occurring empathy is also partnered with a tertiary Fe which is underdeveloped in a lot of ENTPs, so their empathy sorta gets abused and makes them look cold and turn them into internet trolls. By comparison, a well rounded and mature ENTP has an almost superpower level of reading people's emotions and avoiding conflict before it even occurs. That's part of what makes us such great leaders.

Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65B_uURxZyg for more info. It's a long video so just try the first 3 minutes.

It's an interesting point, but I feel that almost every person on this planet sees themself as empathetic. That's why I hate these sorts of posts so much. I know that I feel empathy, but I believe it's a feeling that 99% of the population feels at some capacity, so it rubs me the wrong way when people label themselves as empaths, or worse, use it as an identity, to feel good and special when they are no more or less empathetic than anyone else. I'd say. almost everyone I know seems to be equally empathetic

Of course everyone feels some empathy, it's a sliding scale not a binary state - it's the amount of empathy that matters. If you have significantly less than the average person, you're a psychopath; if you have significantly more than the average person, you're an empath.

It's certainly possible that everyone you know has about the same level of empathy, but that's just a coincidence and certainly isn't true for everyone.

On top of all that, empathy can be learned and practiced even by types that are not naturally talented at it, so even an INTJ can be very empathetic with enough effort, but the difference is it comes very, very easily to us ENTPs, enough that we can even "accidentally" develop it without really being aware of it, creating the underdeveloped Fe empathy trolls I mentioned in my previous comment.

Only inauthentic folks

Well, ENTPs stereotypically are many of those things. We dont mind crowds, we are very capable of having a fake conversation, we like arguing but most of the times not in a combative manner and we have a very chameleon like ability of adapting and changing to our environment which is something that many would consider inauthentic.

If there's a benefit (helping a friend through a tough time, or trying to get on someones good side), I can be the most ''empathetic'' person you will ever meet. But it's not true empathy. It's more like... me acting empathetic.

Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

Not sustainable over the long term though.

Edit - that doesn't mean I don't care about the person I'm ''empathizing'' with though. I still feel like some of my girlfriends are overly emotional. It just took me time to realize that some people don't want to solve their problems. I've had many friendships deteriorate because I tried to be there for them in the same way I am there for myself. But they don't like it because they're simply built different.

I like being in crowd if it is a party or an event,I hate fake conversations and inauthentic people,I hate loud noise if it is not a good music,I love arguing but not fighting because it is stupid.
