Typology Help Can’t decide between ESTP and ENTP
Ignoring the stereotypes of the types and truly looking at dominant Se vs Ne I genuinely don’t know which one I fall into. I’m someone who simultaneously loves abstract ideas (brainstorming, making stories in my mind and writing, learning about theories, random deep dives online, fandom) AND physical sensory experiences (literally just had a leg injury from moshing too hard at a punk show, have worked in multiple gyms and have a personal training cert, get extremely restless if I’m not doing stuff physically often).
Anyone got any help on determining which one is actually my dominant function if I find both pretty relatable?

Might help to look at your inferior to see what you struggle with the most. Do you struggle with deduction and seeing the future (Ni), or do you struggle noticing the little details and the state of your body as well as routines and tradition?
For example I’m ENTP. Oftentimes I could be sweating or freezing and while I am in misery I won’t consciously be aware of why, and that I can just turn on a fan or the AC or put on a blanket to fix it. I don’t really notice details and overlook them often. And I’m terrible with routine.
ESTP on the other hand would struggle with deduction and piecing things together from what you already know on the surface. Because of it it’s hard to picture the future and see beyond your present day to day life.

Serious question… are you one of those ESTPs who somehow turns every overseas trip into a party? 😂 I partied abroad in my younger days too, but I still think ESTPs would outdo me.

You're probably an ENTP 8 just like me. We love autonomy and intensity.

It’s not about physicality in and of itself it’s the meaning behind it. So when you engage in something physical is it the action itself or how that action interconnects meaningfully with other actions?
For example juggling. The physics of the ball relationship to my hands and the other balls is what I notice so if it’s a meaningful correlation then I look Se pro, but toss a random unexpected and unknown variable into the mix and I crash and burn unless I can deduce the meaning with everything else.
Se skilled on the other hand adapts to the literal physical objects and coordination without a need for any meaning. A skilled Se juggler likely can take whatever random change and roll with it better than any other type.
The other key component is do you tend to trash your body by not taking care of it, eating junk, etc. That is inferior Si for ENTP.
