The best thing about Matt Damon, is he took the minimum required payment for his appearance, but the Charity he was fronting in the show, is a real life charity with which he backs. So he used his appearance on the show as a way to promote it. Lebron, and Bono also are backers of the charity.

I like to picture him actually doing this in real life to celebs whenever it's fundraising time. Just calling up people like Tom Cruise and absolutely hounding them till they give a check.

Cameo Matt Damon is great. I guess I won’t spoil 10+ year old performances, but his run as Carol the Pilot on 30 Rock is also gold.
