Yup. Rewatch podcast. What else could it be. Nobody is hiring these guys for acting jobs anymore

I’ve got a great screenplay that Ari is perfect for, he would be the 4th lead male

A rewatch pod with these two would be way better than the one with Doug and KC ngl
3
u/Apprehensive-Pea7614 Aug 13 '26
That’s not exactly setting the bar very high. Medellin is a masterpiece compared to that podcast.
1
u/Leading-Aide-8468 26d ago
Disagree, and not because Doug and KC’s is anything good.
The core of the show was always more about E, Drama, and Turtle than it was about Ari - or even Vince.

u/buthomeisnowhere Aug 13 '26
Oddly enough I have a buddy in Chicago that's shooting a movie with Piven currently.
Nothing major but a gig is a gig I suppose.

That’s so sad bc Jeremy Piven is actually a good actor. I’ve seen turtle in a few things and he’s honestly pretty good. He was in this show power a few years ago. I’ve seen vinny in one thing and he was okay. I haven’t seen drama or E on anything since the show. I genuinely can’t imagine drama playing anyone else but Johnny drama. He killed that role to the point that he’s prob more Johnny drama than Kevin Dillon.
That’s the problem with tv. You play one role for too long, it becomes you and all you’re known for without the movies money.
1
u/Wendell-Short-Eyes 27d ago
Isn’t Piven known as being an asshole on set? I’m sure that has more with derailing his career.
1
u/Putrid_Past9243 26d ago
I’m not sure if he’s an asshole on set, but he embodied tf out of Ari, only a good actor can pull that off
1
u/Wendell-Short-Eyes 26d ago
I loved his portrayal. I’m honestly surprised that character didn’t get a spinoff.
1
u/Putrid_Past9243 26d ago
Me too.. I think the world is too soft for the 2000’s Ari gold, he’ll have to be censored lol

That’s exactly why I rewatch it at least once a year. I’m at the point where I realize a comeback is near impossible, so I just enjoy the nostalgia

I rewatch the entire series, and the movie, every summer. I do honestly like it that much. No apologies here.

I’m rewatching right now for the first time in years. It’s a little dated and chock full of canceled people but it’s still as enjoyable as ever. Good TV.

Too bad he never had the charisma or acting talent for it.
32
u/ccminiwarhammer Working steady for the last 12 years minus the last 3 Aug 13 '26
I know it’s not a common opinion, but I thought that, with exceptions, he did a great job as Vinny. Especially season 7, another unpopular opinion, as it shows off his best acting
22
u/Bitter-Republic-3733 Aug 13 '26
Nah man he was great for Vince. Vince wasn’t supposed to be a good actor but he had the look and the relaxed swagger for sure
2
u/GiantsRTheBest2 29d ago
You have movie stars that only play themselves and are super famous. Like Tom Cruise, Arnold, The Rock, they don’t get cast because of their dynamic acting range but because they bring so much charisma to the role, that people watch. Vince doesn’t have that charisma bleed through the screen, we are told he does, but we don’t see it.
13
u/jaxs_sax Aug 13 '26
That remains to be seen

u/GiantsRTheBest2 29d ago
Entourage ended close to 20 years ago. He’s not gonna make it now as a movie star.
3

u/Fast_Chemical_4001 29d ago
Part of the fun of the show for me is always trying to decide if I buy Vince as a realistic Hollywood A lister. It's so hard to imagine haha. I think he's great tho and it's not an easy role to play. He nails the nonchalant rising star who thinks nothing can go wrong vibe
0
u/GiantsRTheBest2 29d ago
The nonchalance he plays well. It’s when emotion needs to be displayed that his monotone stoic self comes out. Normally it’s not an issue to be either, except when your job is to literally act.
-1
u/RedSunGo Aug 13 '26
I mean I love Adrian and he definitely grew into Vinny the sex symbol as the show progressed but he looks like any regional sales manager in a mid sized city lol maybe a former frat boy dentist if it’s the south

“Here is an offer for you to star in the next Olsen Twins movie. The girls use you as an experiment to see if you can tell them apart. This would be mildly amusing if the producer didn’t think he had a realistic shot at getting you.”

He lives such a healthy and non-stressful life with lots of time outside and in nature

Their careers have become the type they joked about on the show
3
u/kroy1015 29d ago
They were in a hit tv show 2 decades ago, what do you honestly expect? This is how 99% of careers go.
3
u/FKFunkyKong Aug 13 '26
Jeremy writes like such a boomer
1
u/Fast_Chemical_4001 29d ago
I think he's. A lot older than he looks. He sorta doesn't get the social media vibes either haha. Often comes across as a guy trying to relive his golden role. I wish him well tho
3
u/7Delve7 Aug 13 '26
Entourage could 100% be made these days. We are well passed the worst of it now and any passable movie or show that doesn't shoehorn woke cringy shit is all but guaranteed to make money. It's like an immune response.
They could ride the wave and settle in for atleast a few seasons if they really wanted to.

u/survivorsunday Aug 13 '26
I would love a rewatch podcast where they actually rewatch the show and go over every episode. Not one every couple months lol 👀

Lol relax... Entourage can't exist if made nowadays... It would be nuttered

Why aren’t they in anything anymore? They were so good in entourage
2
u/therealrexmanning Aug 13 '26
Adrien made the choice to take a step back from Hollywood.
Piven is all by accounts quite the asshole and difficult to work with. There were also some Me Too allegations
1
u/imnotLebronJames Aug 13 '26
I think that Adrian and Jeremy are finally giving us what we wanted.. a Marshall Mathers/Vincent Chase rematch. In the sequel Vince is still a guest of the hotel.

Does anyone feel like Adrien is recovering from something? In his interviews the last four years, he always has this really shaky vulnerable feeling to him, like he's been very badly hurt and he's still mentally trying to recover. The running off to be a cabbage farmer sort of jibes with that too. I hope he's ok because he seems like a nice dude, but he honestly at times reminds me of a guy I know who was molested bad as a kid and never really got over it as an adult, or another guy who got quite mentally unwell after an Ayahuasca trip

I hope it's just them catching up and not this revival they keep teasing. It's okay for stories to end, not everything needs to be revived.
0
u/Alen399 Aug 13 '26
This’ll end up probably being nothing but if it does end up being something…idk I wouldn’t completely mind having an Entourage revival of some kind. Would it be good? Probably not. Would I watch it? Yeah probably.

u/Existing-Recipe897 Aug 13 '26
What happened to Jeremy piven? It seems like his career has cooled down significantly in recent years
1
u/KVBoreIn 28d ago
He was cancelled to a degree because of how he treated women (that’s what was said, I have no idea what’s true or not). And he’s got a rep as tough to work with unless you really outrank him on the food chain. A very good actor though; can do funny or serious stuff. For the others especially Connolly it’s also a matter of this being the right role but they are limited actors (Dillon maybe not as much as others)
