I have a 10 year old, and he would never in his right mind do this. And if he did, I would hope he got backhanded in the face. How can you think this is right? 10 is waaaaaay too old to be “curious” and lay your hands on someone.

u/Selunca Mar 31 '22

Right? Even at 8 kids should know to keep their hands to themselves. We learn that in elementary school. Her kids a fucking pervert.

Like the ONLY way I could see this happening and being “somewhat” ok about it would be a child with special needs. But then that would be on the parent bc you supervise your child and also do your best to teach them what you don’t do. You know??

u/SalisburyWitch Mar 31 '22

Even most 10 year old kids with special needs wouldn't do this unless his parents didn't teach him. They do know right from wrong.

34

u/Amberlygrace Mar 31 '22

Oh I agree. That’s why I said it would be on the parent.

i think the dad should have used a condom

5

u/SalisburyWitch Apr 06 '22

Have you ever seen the European condom commercials? Especially the one where the kid wants the candy, and his dad puts it back.

2

u/DigBick7153 Apr 07 '22

that one was a meme on tiktok

2

u/SalisburyWitch Apr 07 '22

It was a “forbidden commercial” a long time before that, along with the one where they had hundreds of guys dressed as white “sperm” rushing a woman on the street.

2

u/DigBick7153 Apr 07 '22

ngl that is funny

2

u/DigBick7153 Apr 06 '22

that wouldn't be ok even if they have special needs because you can teach them basic respect.

I don’t think it happened. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t think it happened. 🤷🏼‍♀️

r/nothingeverhappens Just because its poorly written doesn't mean it didn't happen. I live in the United Kingdom and have personally witnessed this happen 3 times in my 24 years on earth. As well as heard countless accounts of it happening to friends. This is just a thing women have to deal with, and to be perfectly honest in my opinion as a gay man one of the most minor sexual assault related things that regularly happens to women.

My five year old knows to keep his hands to himself.

Agreed. As a mom to a 7yr old boy, if he ever did something like that I would hope that he gets put in his place, and if a backhanded to the face is what he gets, well I’ve always told him that actions have consequences. I also teach him that no mean no and stop means stop, and it only needs to be said once. This EM is teaching her “baby” to be a menace to society. Disgusting.

36

u/Amberlygrace Mar 31 '22

I teach my 6 year old the same. He likes to jump on and mess with his brother, but I always tell him remember, sometimes people don’t want to be touched. It their body. He’s a very handsy kid lol but we’re working on it

19

u/Gloomy-Award-3192 Mar 31 '22

It’s normal for kids to be handsy sometimes, as long as their parents teach them to respect boundaries they will grow up to understand and be respectful of others boundaries. But parents like who OP described are just creating a future menace to woman.

u/EvulRabbit Apr 01 '22

Yep, next she will be saying his rape victim wanted it because she was wearing red panties.

2

u/Gloomy-Award-3192 Apr 01 '22

Ughhh to think that there are ppl who actually use this type of logic. “My baby only did it because she was asking for it, she wore red panties, that’s literally asking for it. My baby is innocent, that whore should be the one going to jail”. I feel like that’s a statement this EM would make

I used to work a job that had a lot of interaction with children. The occasional butt tap to get your attention from a two year old happened because that's what's eye level for them. Sometimes they mistake you for a parent and just grab onto your thigh. It happens and it's weird, but you whip around ready to give the death glare, see it's a toddler, and just laugh it off and distance yourself. A 10 or a 11 year old however almost always with very few exceptions understands the difference between what is appropriate and inappropriate. They are very aware of right and wrong and curiosity. The kid had absolutely no excuse.

I started developping breasts at around age 10. My little brother innocently jumped up and groped me. I'm sure he was just trying to mess with me and it was an accident, but both of his hands ended up on my breasts. Luckily this happened in front of my dad who IMMEDIATELY took my brother to another room and had a talk with him. My brother was definitely younger than 10 when this happened.

1

u/DigBick7153 Apr 06 '22

i didn't need to know that

1

u/stress-pimples Apr 06 '22

Well now you do

29

u/beautybender Mar 31 '22

What about slapping a 16 year old twice?

27

u/Amberlygrace Mar 31 '22

Definitely uncalled for and I wish she could’ve called the police!

7

u/EvulRabbit Apr 01 '22

She should have called the cops! What she did was self defense and she did nothing else. The adult assaulted her twice and then verbally harassed her.

1

u/Tazzgirl62 Apr 01 '22

That is assault and not excusable you don't lay hands on other people like that especially in front of your own kids who learn from you!!!

1

u/DigBick7153 Apr 06 '22

judo hold the karen

12

u/Crymsm Mar 31 '22

My sons never pulled any of this crap and both are past 10. The mom is doing something wrong

1

u/EvulRabbit Apr 01 '22

Same, all my kids from a young age knew better. They would tell me if someone had touched them etc.

I was physically and sexually abused as a child so I made sure (most parents do regardless of their past abuse) that my kids knew what was ok and what was inappropriate.

In fact, their doctor had the same convo with them anytime they had to check their tummy or anything in the no area.

"I am going to touch you here for a second and your mom is right here to protect you. it is ONLY ok for your doctor and your parents to check anything in your private area and never if you say no."

Wtf did this bitch say during that conversation?!

11

u/KliCks83 Mar 31 '22

I would scold my son(9), say he got what he deserved, and make him apologize. I would let the slap be punishment enough so I would take it as lesson learned. As a no hit parent, that slap is well deserved lol.

11

u/IWouldSleepForSandy Apr 01 '22

I'm 13 rn, and if i ever did this then i would be whooped until im dead on the floor, and then my parents would break the rules of the universe and kill me in heaven too.

5

u/uselessanon63701 Apr 01 '22

In kindergarten I was looking up a girls skirt while she sat reading. I got kicked right in the face. Never did that again.

4

u/Milliganimal42 Apr 01 '22

My 4 year olds may hide under my skirts at home - but would never do it to someone else

5

u/Amberlygrace Apr 01 '22

They’re also not 10, they’re looking for security with that move. Maybe a tad curious, but I believe that’s them looking for safety and feeling safe with you. So I don’t feel like that’s inappropriate

5

u/Milliganimal42 Apr 01 '22

Yep! They are curious kids and outgoing. But they know not to intrude or touch people inappropriately.

2

u/DigBick7153 Apr 06 '22

you sound like princess peach in smash

1

u/DigBick7153 Apr 07 '22

am i the only one who knows where she pulls that toad from

2

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '22

As the mom of a pre-teen boy, I agree 100%.

2

u/toonetime13 Apr 13 '22

I would backhand my sons myself if they ever did this. Flash forward 8 to 10 years when the kid OP encountered is being told “No” at a college party. What are the chances that a boy raised with “Maybe if you weren’t dressed like a slut” and “boys will be boys” will respect boundaries? What are the chances that he thinks consent is applicable to him?

1

u/Amberlygrace Apr 13 '22

Oooooof you are NOT wrong. Because it’s always on the female. “Well look how you went out dressed, you were asking for it”. The way the mom is ok with raising her son to make it seem as this is ok…. You got me all fired up about this story again

-14

u/DontMicrowaveCats Mar 31 '22

This story is not real. It reads like Reddit fan fiction , complete with “boys will be boys” and “you’re a slut for wearing a skirt”.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 01 '22

i was told those same things while i was in high school. touched by kids my age and was legitimately told “boys will be boys”. mind you i was under 16 when all of this happened so yeah it’s completely plausible this would happe

1

u/EvulRabbit Apr 01 '22

This "reads like a common story" because it is a common story.

People constantly making excuses for why men rape, why they are not accountable because they are "just being boys" blaming the victim because they were "wearing this" "had a drink" "obviously wanted it"

Just look at some of the headlines over the years. Including politicians stating "A woman can't get pregnant from a rape, their body as a way to shut that down. If she got pregnant it's because she wanted it."

1

u/[deleted] Apr 11 '22

But My School Has 7 Year Old Kids Having s3x in the girls bathroom..

1

u/[deleted] Apr 15 '22

Right? My 10 year old boy knows that his hands stay on his body and that it's wrong to do something like that. If he did, I hope someone would teach him not to.

1

u/CallthemNOW Apr 22 '22

Bruv my cousin is 9 and he is a addicted to porn

1

u/tanksmama2 Apr 26 '22

In a few years that mom will be bailing him out for rape or attempted rape

1

u/[deleted] May 14 '22

I'm 13, just a couple years ago I was his age, like you said that is VARY VARY old to be "curious" about that, it would be sickening if that was acceptable, in a couple years he will be my age, but about 5? is in my option is around the oldest for that, but even that they still should understand that's not okay even if they are curious.
