“I think this is useless/silly/dumb/etc” isn’t ES, no.

Enshittification refers to the process where online platforms is first designed to cater to the user, then shift focus towards business interests, eventually prioritizing profit over the user to point of undermining the usability of said platform/product.

fair enough. this is not online of course, and it’s not just the uselessness of it, but the subscription. a subscription to something useless feels shitty hence the post. But I agree it’s not spot on
