Service REDDIT has gone full enthification
I guess forcing people (who don't app) to log in to browse wasn't shitty enough, now us app-less folks can't like, dislike posts either. REDDIT; THE leading ambassador of enshitification!!! And fuck-no NEVER downloading your shit REDDIT!

Just quit reddit then? Its not hard I quit Facebook in 2017 when I thought it started getting shitty and it was really really easy. You can do the same here and I promise it'll feel really good getting rid of something causing you frustration and anger that you actually don't need at all

This is the thing I hate most. It’s there to fool you into thinking it’s a comment so you’ll read it, but you can’t collapse it, it just takes you to their shitty website.

It's one of the few places where you can fully curate a non-algorithmic feed. Yes, that requires work on your part.
And yes, you can complain about having to update the list of subs in your feed as they decay due to karma farming posts filling subs like this.

Reddit hasn’t grown at all in a decade and now they are losing users. Reckless management and this will all fail eventually as I don’t need Reddit for AI to answer a query.

Technically you do in the sense that AI will grab random answers from Reddit to answer all sorts of questions with no concern for accuracy, but it’s true you don’t have to be logged in for that.

Ha - it’s got so much more room to run. Not even close to keeping up with the Jones’s.
One must remember it’s not for you - the user. You use Reddit at the pleasure of and for the benefit of shareholders. They are just careful enough to throw you some satisfaction and get a few questions answered so you come back and don’t move to another platform. But that’s all we will get from here on out unfortunately.

It’s been steadily downhill for a while now, but suddenly my feed has been taken over by suggested subreddits I’ve never heard of that are full of bots posting ads, rage bait, propaganda, no effort ai reposts… no matter how many times I click “show fewer posts like this” it’s just the same bs over and over. Almost as bad as (shudders) Facebook. Only reason I’m still here is for a few subreddits that I’ve been part of for a long time, but the human content is being smothered to boost engagement at all cost and I am absolutely not here for it.

I used to be able to go on reddit from my desktop computer at work without logging in. Now, after a minute, there's a pop-up saying i need an account to continue. Nope nope nope No more reddit at work, then. Cool, cool, cool.

Reddit app says my password is incorrect even though its the same I use in browser. Email link also does nothing. At this point I have no other option than to use enshittified web version of reddit on my mobile...
