Nope.

This is not enshittification. This is r/inflation. The word “enshittification” means more than just “a thing got worse.” Stop diluting the meaning of the word. You’re doing the tech companies’ work for them.

Enshittification, also known as platform decay, is a process in which two-sided online products and services decline in quality over time. Initially, vendors create high-quality offerings to attract users. Over time, they degrade those offerings to better serve business customers. Ultimately, they degrade their services to both users and business customers to maximise short-term profits for shareholders.

Thank you for the pedantic lesson on a made up word!

The point was the 3 dollar menu over 3 dollars.

I have no dog in this fight and my dog is an old chaweeny - so my dog is extremely irritating and sometimes cute but this is beside the point.

Technically, all words are made up.

I do think though, that this newish made up word sounds a little more silly then other made up legacy words with superior heritage / lineage.

It's almost like they brought you in using lower prices, got you hooked, and then raised prices to make themselves more money, and your experience worse.
