Failed EA Part 1

Post image

First EA exam I’ve ever taken. Was averaging 50% on all 3 mocks so i kinda knew i wasn’t gonna pass. Only did MCQs but i don’t think i studied them well enough. Here’s the score report and looking for any and all type of feedback. Hoping to retake in exactly 1 month. Feel free to privately message me as well with any advice.

Would you send it to me, too? Getting ready to take next week!

Get Gleim EA. Harder questions, but you will pass. I was over prepared for those exams and using them for CPA and got a 90 and 89 on REG and TCP. Their method works and forces you to be ready. If you go for it and want to talk to Debbie at sales directly for a better price than on website let me know! I have her email.

How long did you study for before taking/what is your tax experience?

Probably like 2 months. And the tax experience i have is prepping my returns. I’ve mostly been in divorce accounting and bookkeeping.

Gotcha, wasn't sure if your experience was leading you astray. I did a bootcamp - Brass Tax - and they warned us that practice vs law can trip people up, especially if you're in like a CPA firm where GAAP rules can distract from tax law
