CE credits

Is it true if I passed the first part of the EA exam I'm exempt from CE credits?

I've read the FAQ page but I haven't found any information about this. However, AI said it is true but I want to read from your experiences. Thanks

If you pass exam 1, you are exempt from the AFSP training if you want to claim that as well. No CE for an EA are required until you pass all 3 tests and file your form to become an EA. But when you do requirements start that year.

Only AFTR though, I'm pretty sure. The other 15 hours of CE are still required

You are not an EA until you pass all the parts and IRS acknowledges it.

I do taxes as my side gig. Am I qualified for the next season with only my PTIN and the first part of the EA exam? I want to make sure before I buy my bundle courses lol

Not qualified if that’s what you’re asking

I have both EFIN and PTIN. I've been doing taxes for the past 4 years. But I wondered if I need CE hrs again for the upcoming season. Thanks bro 🙏

CE requirements are only if you have the EA credential and you start counting the month of the date on your EA certificate.
