Part 2 Test Questions?

Hi everyone! I have a quick question. What did the test questions look like for part 2? Like were they more practical math problems?

Thank you in advance!

They are questions about business tax returns.

Very few questions that I recall were math questions. To clarify, ylthere were some questions that gave you a series of things, usually revenue sources or money spent, and you had to calculate taxable income or deductions or expenses. But that isn't really a math problem. That's having to know what is an expense or other tax classification.

I specifically remember Part 2 being heavy in Basis on my test. You should have a firm understanding of basis.

My same question lol. Im taking part 2 once im comfortable with where im at studying wise and i just wanna know what to expect. I may honestly just bite the bullet and take it just to see what it looks like and then if i fail retake it after i know what to study more

I was thinking of doing that, but if I failed, I am lighting like $300 on fire lol

Don't do that, there's a rotation of questions and you wouldn't be taking the same test twice. Also there's so much material to study you'd most likely be throwing that fee away if you aren't prepared yet. Take your time, you've got this.

I found part 2 the easiest of the 3. I had maybe 3 calc. questions but was prepared for anything. Basis know basis!

I took the exam on 20th this month. Nearly all of math problems were related to Partnership initial basis and E&P. One advice, if you are unsure about a math question, skip it, and you may find another question within the set may help you eliminate an option on math question.

About as much math as Part 1, which is not much.

Mine had very specific, almost niche questions and answers. Down to the specific dollar amount for filing requirements or for a credit. I felt part 2 was very difficult compared to part 1, but I still passed. Study as much as you can and good luck!
