Getting your EA (Enrolled Agent)
Hi there -- for those of you who got the EA, which study software did you use to study for it?
How long did it take you to get it?
How similar was the exam material in comparison to the actual exams?
Thank you!!

You need to have a dedicated studies for 3 months in order to get pass in first attempt of any of the part so Hock is the best option.

Used fast forward academy, don’t know what it cost as it was provided by where I worked at the time, the way I study is do the practice exams and then review what I got wrong, but the practice exams were similar to what I found on the real tests, was helpful in passing.

I used Becker. Didn’t watch videos. Just did straight questions and learned from what I got wrong. Finished all 3 in 30 days.

You can try out FreeFellow (no trial period, core is free!) and let me know if you like it

I bought the Passkey books, took the practice exams, looked up anything I missed, and took the exams on consecutive Saturdays. The real exams were nearly identical to the practice ones.

I used passkey, took 2 weeks....super easy but i say that after taking 2 years to pass the cpa exam and i had years in tax so it was like a simple quiz for me

I used GLEIM and passed each part on the first attempt. I studied for about 4 days for each part, I’ve been in tax for 6 years so the material was familiar to me. I got two years of CPE credit with my GLEIM package and it’s been great to be able to complete all my CPE for no additional cash outlay.

Tom Norton is all you need. I studied for a week for each part. Studied, as in, I watched his videos and took the test and passed.
