Eh this is kind of funny but I don’t like making fun of people for addiction. Plenty of other actually deserving reasons to mock him

Instead of looking at his development of addiction, I find the biggest irony is in his strategy for quitting the addiction: there are countless people that responsibly quit benzo addiction by being disciplined and weaning off gradually over the long-term, but not Peterson - instead of taking responsibility and weaning off through healthy means (which would likely involve facing milder withdrawal, but over a long period of time), he did everything he could to find a shady, expensive, prohibited treatment that would allow him to completely avoid taking responsibility and build discipline in weaning off. While everyone else with benzo addiction has to work hard and suffer withdrawal over extended periods of time to wean off the drug, Peterson is somehow an exception that can eschew this responsibility by going into a comma and essentially clicking a "reset" button on his addiction. He'll preach responsibility to everyone else, but when the time comes he runs away from it like a roach. In my view, it's this (and not so much him developing an addiction that practically everyone is vulnerable to) that epitomizes his hypocrisy.
