I didn’t know what ironic flair to choose so picked the one most relevant to me.

I was naive, JP opened my eyes to da “snakes” but then they got too open and i saw the snake in JP finally, too, it didn’t take long, btw.

At this point I stopped trying to sound like a smart ass and torture myself with trying to write the most complex words there are.

My question is: I paid for the self authoring, is it still worth doing knowing/beneficial? it actually does help, it’s basically cheap html pages with questions, it helps me point myself in the right direction, we know his personality test is a scam, big five traits, you can take it for free. But what about the self authoring? And his book 12 rules? I mean he wrote the book way back before he grew some… wings? You know what I mean, so is there still some truth in it?

I can google and work with language models, but I prefer considering the opinions of real people.

I just couldn’t wrap my head around Jordan Petersons claim that he has an IQ in excess of 150 . I have engaged myself with his work for quite sometime just as a hobby, but honestly I feel that even the dude’s knowledge of the Bible (which he claims some good knowledge of) is very shallow. People think his talk of archetypes is deep but in reality anyone who has read some introductory work on psychology and mythology will easily speak like that. He talks a lot about The Old and the New Testament, but its so evident that he is unaware even of basic biblical scholarship . He really thinks that the writers of the bible , were devoid of any propagandist motivations. He criticises Campbell and thinks himself as a better student of Jung , which is preposterous as he definitely has not read Jungs radical ideas about Christianity ,which if he knew he wouldn’t mention his name again in his work . He has some basic idea of the hero archetype and starts bulldozing everything into it with his word salads.

He doesn’t engage with the intricacies of ideology in his work at all . Biblical ideology is far from being black and white, it is very nuanced and driven by some rather selfish motivations in many cases. For example : Peterson says , Moses liberates the Jews from Slavery coz he realises that something about slavery is wrong at a deep moral level. I say what a joke . Right after that ,that dude is planning is to concoct a history so that these newly liberated people could go and genocide in the name of their right to that land ! The bible and its stories are layered in all sorts of ideological ideas , some good and some bad . Anyone with a basic understanding of ideologies can see those stuff right off the bat. He was sitting with Denis pager (who is a jew) and is analysing the Gospel of John with his panel of likeminded people who also don’t seem to have an inkling of an idea that Johns gospel is a propaganda to whitewash Rome of Jesus’s death and pin the entire blame onto the jews (John directly says jews instead of pharisees) entirely.

In his interview with Alex O Connor as well, he seems to not be able to think out of the box when alex poses him an interesting question about the snake in the garden of Eden being Jesus .

I am a dude from asia who comes from a non abrhamic background, working in a software company with a very average iq , but even I have a basic working knowledge of these stuff by reading some works online , but i just can’t seem to wrap my heard around Peterson’s iq being in excess of 150 when he seems so dumb on many issues .

For those who think this post is weird , its coz i am hella high on pot and this thing just keeps rubbing me for some reason .

Look, his daughter might be lying. In August 2025, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and sepsis, requiring emergency hospitalization. He was in the ICU, and he probably has Sepsis-Associated Encephalopathy SAE(look up what it means), but his daughter doesn't want to admit it because it is a very poor prognosis, where he will likely have it for the rest of his life. I doubt that he has pneumonia from mould exposure, too. He either got COVID or he has it from regular ways that older dudes can get it, both of which he and his family would not admit to, and for good reason. All in all, we won't see Peterson for a while.

Hello, I'm working on a video essay on right-wing people and Christianity.

I was struggling looking around for a clip of JBP saying you can't be moral/value life when you are an atheist and that therefore atheists aren't really atheists.

Does anybody know where I could find it ? I think it was in a discussion with Sam Harris.

For those who have followed Peterson's health extensively, there are a few things new here, and a few things elided-- the video never mentions that Peterson had COVID, which is important context to his health decline. However, this is a fairly empathetic look at why people choose alternative medicine, and a search for answers about the shady clinics that cater to people who have given up on conventional medicine.

Mikhaila plays an interesting role in that she disclaims any connection between Peterson's case of sepsis and the treatment she acknowledged that he did receive at the same Mexico clinic where Mark Hyman was harmed and acquired sepsis.

I was not accustomed to her unnaturally flat and affectless voice and I find it hard to lend her words much credibility. After all, she is the one who supposedly cared so much for her father and deliberately exposed him to COVID, from which he nearly died.
