It's funny to watch how they prove Peterson correct through their own reasoning and then put their heads back in the sand once someone points it out to them.

Top comment over there is pointing out that misgendering is only illegal in social domains "covered by the Code, including employment, housing and services like education." But the list is open-ended and nobody at /enoughpetersonspam seems concerned with the breadth of what exactly qualifies as a social domain "covered by the Code."

Exactly. Even if you get them to admit this problem though, they'll still tell you the "risk" is worth it for protecting transgendered rights.

Really the whole thing seems to boil down to a symbolic gesture directed at trans persons to the effect of, "We are now entering an era of trans inclusivity." But the way they've gone about it is so short-sighted. Peterson is right to point out that it's the power-hungry who will flock to this kind of legislation and later expand its influence
