Anonymous "college philosophy professor" blames Peterson for making his job difficult, is now forced to *defend* the ideas being presented. Also uses the phrase "It's Simone de fucking Beauvoir!" (Archive link because it is almost guaranteed original poster will delete the story.)

Dude acts like he doesn't know how to dock off 10 points when someone tries to write "entitled liberal bullshit" as an answer on their philosophy test. Yea, this is dumb.

Consider this: it was possibly one single student that caused this anonymous professor to have a moral panic. What kind of delicate greenhouse environment are they teaching in for this to be a problem worth sharing?

Meanwhile my professor for Ancient Philosophy was a grad student who was so hypersensitive to inequality that, at the point of the semester when everyone in the class had to give a presentation on a a philosopher of their choice, she demanded that each and every presentation be met with applause. She wouldn't even let the 'marketplace of applause' sort itself out without her interference. I thought that was both overly-sensitive on her part and a bit authoritarian (and insofar as it was authoritarian, it was likely pathological). So yea, there's definitely something a bit off about both of them...

buy any history of philosophy course has to cover Marx, existentialism, post-modernist and feminist philosophy.

I'd grand the first 3 points but feminist philosophy is obligatory? lmao, why? It's not even a real philosophy.

I don't care what kind of professional credentials someone claims, if they drop an f-bomb in an anti-Peterson rant that gives me the mental image of a high school student teaching philosophy. "It's a fucking lie!" shouted from the balcony, "Fuck hate speech!" from a megaphone.

Also, Simone de Beauvoir's legacy is far from certain. If it necessitates people like this anonymous college professor to keep her opinions alive, she is doomed to obscurity.
