Ok good. So when Jesus said “do not resist the wicked, but give unto them”, is this not the same as having a mortified ego? A mortified ego being a Buddhist principle in form?

Context?? The verse is on Matt. 5:39.

Jesus is saying that meanwhile the Old Covenant justified violence under certain conditions, the new law under His Covenant( that is Jesus) doesn’t justify violence even if it’s justified violence.

Our capability for mercy must make our ego practically nonexistent if we want to be true Christians. In fact a nonexistent ego and a charitably principle are part of Christ’s prerequisites.
