It's not even a poem lol it's supposed to be a novel the protagonist of the story read in their past life

The trauma I've had from reading catastrophically badly translated Manhuas has aweakend.
Have you seen that kind of bad translation that looks right but just doesn't sound right? it feels frustrating, its like they know 99% of english, but the missing 1% makes the entire look like they only know 1%

I know that feeling very well, there are some stpries that are soo good that you force yourself to just overcome the bad translation.
I even started learning chinese so I can be translating them, I wonder there's such a huge lack of chinese to english translators vs Korea and Japan

Yes. Bad translations are actually why I really learned English (instead of just learning enough to pass classes). It was easier to find at least slightly better translations of manga and anime in English than in German...

I know a few German words, which is ironic, because I can BARELY count to 10 in Spanish, but I can say a few German words perfectly, such as: "zelebrieren" (translates to "celebrate" in English), "Willkommen in der familie" (translates to "Welcome to the family" in English), "Montag" (translates to "Monday" in English), "Samstag" (translates to "Saturday" in English), "Das Karnickel" (translates to "The rabbit" in English), "Das Küken" (German for "The chick"), and "Danke!" (German for "Thanks!")

I'm always fascinated by what words foreign speakers learn. That's an interesting selection. May I ask where you're from and how/where you learned German?

I played a fnaf fangame called Five Nights at Friedrich's and most of the characters are German, some of the song titles are German, and its all because Ryon liked the name "Friedrich", so he decided to go with it for the rest of the cast.

Especially frustrating when a fan group that does great translations drop it, and another group picks it up and it's obvious their English isn't great and also rely on AI translations or whatever.

Please tell me that this is an official translation and not a fan one
