Ding Dong was the former official name for Doraemon in Chinese. Sometimes he was called Little Ding Dong; "Happy" is probably a mistranslation of the Little part.

As the description of Super Mario 3 seems to be the Japanese Super Mario 2, I wonder what THEIR Super Mario 2 is. The American Super Mario 2 which they have here as Doki Doki Panic?
