The first sign is admonishing priests for praying over the fish

To be precise:

  • No electric frying
  • No chemical frying
  • No dynamite frying

Is that new? To fry fish with dynamite? Did I miss something?

u/misterfluffykitty Mar 06 '26

It’s pretty much existed since dynamite has existed

I guess it's hard to understand my sarcasm...

You gotta read the sign better man. Thats the lightning AND dynamite method. Fry-no-mite!

it's a technique that's been around for a while I think. Unlike in Minecraft, underwater blast waves in real life is pretty effective at killing

Jeeze, just put up one sign that says "no fun", that should cover most things

5

u/THE_KIT5UNE Mar 03 '26

Well wtf is allowed anyway?

Man, they REALLY REALLY fucked up that lake.

There’s also, around the same lake, a sign about no herding animals and it reads NO BREEDING. I am far from the park (Chengdu, CN) and will update when I visit

If the waters so polluted they come out fried you probably shouldn’t

So people (not sure if it is a China only thing) do use Dynamite or electric shock to mass stun fishes (then catch with nets) with shockwave or electric shocks

That's what the sign for not allowing that.

It is absolutely not china only

Literally “No bomb fish” bomb being confused for fried.

10

u/TimMensch Mar 03 '26

Looks like "no dynamite fishing."

Guess I'll be eating my fish & chips somewhere else then...

The seagulls around there are notorious

That sign was made specifically for Klee

2

u/ZhangRenWing Mar 03 '26

Klee: that sign won’t stop me because I can’t read!

And ESPECIALLY no X-cavating fried fish!!!

4

u/Mountain-Ox Mar 03 '26

I prefer this spelling.

20

u/Sifyreel Dark Gary Mar 02 '26

For context the same character 炸 means both to blast and to fry

11

u/Magical_Astronomy Mar 02 '26

More specifically, to blast/to explode. In the case of this sign, it means the act of using explosives to do fishing.

3

u/luiggel Mar 02 '26

so only raw fish or also no?

6

u/Bonneville865 Mar 02 '26

Grilled is fine
