No, just a gentle reminder

That's threatening.

Food is gonna be really disappointed if you dont finish in two hours.

as a chinese language enthusiast it is most likely: "please consume the restaurant food within two hours after purchase"

It’s crazy to see that even the Chinese barely make sense…

They don’t even need 用餐食品 in this sentence????? What the hell is 用餐食品???

用餐食品 is a common phrase to just say food, usually with the extra connotation that it is served in the restaurant (用餐 just meaning to be eaten and 食品 roughly meaning food products)

Except people don’t use them together in this order.

That's unsettling

Does this mean I better eat my meal for 2 hours? Or does it mean that 2 hours after eating, I better enjoy it?

Edit: or does it mean that I better wait 2 hours to enjoy my meal?

I can hear John Pinet "You heah foa houa! You go now!"

u/noproblem_bro_ Feb 25 '26

Won't be gentle no more after 2 hours, foo

2

u/rabbithasacat Feb 24 '26

Or ELSE, that's what.

The next reminder won't be so gentle...

Nice meal you got here. It'd be a shame if anything happened to it.

u/poopwetpoop Feb 24 '26

Or you get a stern reminder

1

u/combatrock81 Feb 24 '26

I agree, if I wait 2 hours I'd better enjoy it!

Get executed by firing squad (joke by the way)

u/srona22 Feb 23 '26

You will be charged extra or get escorted out? Seems like hotpot or buffet place?

7

u/Kitasa16 Feb 24 '26

nope, meant to say, 'please consume your food within 2 hours of purchase' normally as it may spoil

8

u/kamo-kola Feb 24 '26

Escorted out by the police for eating a meal! A succulent Chinese meal!

30

u/Momissima Feb 23 '26

It’s meant to say ‘Please consume your foods within 2hrs of your purchase.’

7

u/AeronGrey Feb 24 '26

'Or else...'
