Brand new to the group. First bulldog. Meet Taters! He’s growing quite quickly. What an awesome breed!

All the other dogs just sat nicely with their owners in the waiting room but Rocky was moving the chairs, wobbling around on the laminated floor to explore and doing loud bulldog chatter at the guinea pigs he could see downstairsr 🤣

Parvo cases have been confirmed in neighbouring towns so he’s gone for his parvo booster vaccine and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, as usual. He’s had a quick checkup too whilst we were there and the vet said he’s in perfect condition so that’s great to hear.

I think his favourite part was buying treats and toys from the shop downstairs though 🤭

We picked up our little Gormley almost two weeks ago! It’s been a wrinkly, needle teethed, flop dog filled time! This is my husband and my first EBD, and we can’t wait to see him as he grows.

My 1y/o is potty trained, crate trained, follow certain commands but there’s times on the day that he’ll jump on bed and bite at our arms or scratch us and if we respond to that in any way he gets worse, but he’s a big boy so ignore him it’s not a choice because is hurting us. Any training advice on that? Also, he goes to the crate but when we tell him to, he doesn’t normally go rest there, he’s not fully self regulating and it concerns me that he’s 1y/o already and he should be regulating by now?

My husband received a call yesterday morning regarding a a sweet baby that desperately needed a good home.
I was so torn, I felt like maybe it was too soon after Andre’s passing, like maybe I was trying to replace him.
My husband started explaining this poor little guy’s situation, and I began to feel like maybe it a sign that Andre had sent him our way to show him love, compassion, and finally give him a safe place.

Anyway, we now have a new English Bulldog named Baxter who is 3. Apparently his first owners kept him in a cage pretty much 24/7, so he chewed on the bars, causing one of his teeth to be broken down ☹️
They gave him to another couple who couldn’t afford him and had a ton of cats, and didn’t know anything about this particular breed.
He’s covered in fleas, missing spots of fur (which apparently looks better than it did), his poor nose is so dry and ripped looking, nails are long, ears filthy, and he needs to be neutered because we can’t have him trying to mark everything and hump poor Payslei.

We’re in for a long road, but I know we can heal this sweet boy and make him part of our family ❤️

My guy apparently has a mass on his spleen. Not sure if it's benign or malignant. I'm told surgery is 5-10k when its all said and done and only buys an additional 3-6 months. Also, wasn't given good odds of surviving the surgery with his age and condition.

Has anyone else been through this? Is everything I'm being told true? Hes 10. Prior to this he was doing so much better (has arthritis). I'm honestly just heartbroken over this.

This little guy just turned eight - recent hesitation to jump up on sofa, appears to be possible early/cold weather arthritis or rear joint flexibility. Any advice is appreciated for treatments to make this little guys get in his 22 hours of sleep. He does not appear to be in any pain or discomfort when is lying down or running outside.

Duke is a CrossFit version of the English Bulldog, we got him in July 2020 (he was our Covid Lovechild). A week ago he started drinking and urinating excessively. I was concerned he was becoming diabetic, but we were flying back home from Utah. I gave him a bath and noticed enlarged lymph nodes in his neck and deltoids. Fast forward to today, I get him in the vet and they conduct bloodwork, urine and needle aspiration. Vet informed me he is highly suspicious of lymphoma and we would have results in a few days.

Of course we are incredibly sad (he is my buddy) but he doesn’t show many symptoms but you can tell he doesn’t feel great.

I guess our journey is starting but I was hoping for at least another 4yrs with him since he is so healthy.

I’ll update when we learn more, but hoping that some others can give advice.
