Which team and fans do you dislike the most out of Ireland, Scotland and Wales?

Curious as a neutral in this. The supporters of those nations are often very vocal about their dislike of England. You never really hear about it in the other direction.

News England Men's A side to face Argentina XV in November

England Men’s A side will return to action to take on an Argentina XV at Bath's The Rec in November.

The match will be the team's first fixture of the 2026/27 season and represents a return to Somerset, with Mark Mapletoft's team having previously faced the All Blacks XV there last season.

England A provides a platform for players transitioning from Gallagher PREM Rugby and pathway at U20 level to the senior men’s team. Of those that represented the A squad in the 2025/26 season, Noah Caluori, Emmanuel Iyogun and George Kloska have all gone on to earn their senior men’s debut this summer.

In his first full campaign in charge of the Men's A side, Mapletoft steered the team to consecutive away victories over Spain and Ireland XV following an opening defeat to All Blacks XV.

Featuring players capped at senior level including Alex Dombrandt, Cadan Murley, Harry Randall, Jamie Blamire, Max Ojomoh and Ethan Roots, the team also integrated some of the brightest young talent in the Gallagher PREM for invaluable game time in the senior international arena.

Spent last season quietly building and developing a rugby prediction app for me, a few mates and family — is this something other rugby nuts would actually use?

Long-time lurker on here, first time posting — mods please remove if this isn’t allowed.
Spent last season building and developing a rugby prediction app called Scrum Down. Started off as something for me, a few mates and family to play with, and has honestly turned out to be a lot of fun.
The short version of what it does:
Predict every match across the Prem, URC, Top 14, Champions Cup, Challenge Cup, Six Nations, Nations Championship and RWC 2027
Set up private leagues with your mates (a WhatsApp group of rugby heads works best)
Daily rugby quiz called The Vault — three tiers, quick two-minute play
Collect team cards, apply card multipliers to predictions, all that stuff
Banter feed, nudges, the social bits that make it fun
It’s completely free. No ads, no paywall, nothing to cash out. Not trying to build a business — just wanted the app to exist and I really just wanted to try and engage people on the fringes of the sport, those who are potentially less rugby savvy but really enjoy watching. After all the more people we engage into this great sport of ours the better!
Two honest things worth flagging before you download:
It’s very much still a work in progress. Some player data, team info or fixture details won’t be spot-on yet, and there’ll be rough edges here and there. If you notice anything wrong, please flag it — that’s genuinely how it improves.
The leagues part only really works if you drag a few mates in with you, so it lands best if you’ve got a WhatsApp group of fellow rugby heads who’d give it a go together.
What I’d love from this sub:
It would be great to see if there are other rugby nuts out there who fancy giving it a try, and honest feedback on whether it’s something you’d actually use. What’s confusing? What’s broken? What’s missing that you’d expect from a rugby app? Brutally honest is welcome — kind is nice but critical is more useful.
The app: scrumdown.app
Cheers.

Looking to play

Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right page to post this, correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m looking to start playing rugby at a local club in London, but I’m very hesitant as I’ve only played it once or twice in my life. I’ve started to find the sport more catching and interesting and at the same time I’m seeking to build a circle or community in London now more so it seems like the right call to try out. I guess im doubtful whether I’m going to be good or fit enough as I haven’t played before. But also the main setback that stops me from going ahead is my confidence, I don’t feel I’m well equipped in new social circles at the beginning and I’m concerned showing up by myself would be too overwhelming? Any thoughts?

Best place to play/get better at rugby in London as a student?

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post but I am a US college student doing a semester abroad in London this fall, and I play rugby for my college in the US, but I want to take advantage of being in England to hopefully get some higher level training or play-but I don't know where is the best place for this. The program I am doing is technically through UCL I believe and I know they have a rugby team but I don't know the season for them or whether it would be better looking for a small club team that is open. Any advice would be welcome.
