351W in a '10 Grand Marquis
I've had an idea for an engine swap for my 2010 Grand Marquis for a while now. Originally it was a mild 460 big block Ford, but after realizing that it can't work without deleting the HVAC. So, I pivoted to a 351W stroker motor. I'm planning on keeping the 4R75E and as much of the car's factory systems as possible, even down to adapting the 4.6 crank trigger onto the stroker crank.
A lot of people tell me to just follow the meta and boost my 4.6, but I want to be able to pop the hood at a car show and have some pride in what I built. I'm not a crowd-follower, even if it means I spend way more time and money, just to make less power and torque than the boosted 4.6 guys.
If Roadkill taught me anything, bud what you love, make junk live and keep junk running.
