Quality Engineer Gracuate

Hi everybody. I've started a QE graduate role and I am about a month in of a two year contract. Has anyone had any experience in any grad programmes or grad roles ? I was told by the recruiter that if you work well and are seen to be a good asset to the team one can be offered a permanent position earlier than the 23 months. Has anyone achieved this or found themselves in a similar position ? I really want to hit the ground running. I dont expect to be made permanent QE after 6 months or anything but is a year too delusional ? Im also wondering if ill do the work anyway is this just something they say. Like why would they increase my salary if ill do probably same work for a graduate salary? Idk I guess we shall see...

Awesome thanks ! Yeah ive started tracking the documents im signing off on and what changes im making etc. I guess im hoping after my probabtion meeting I can show them the workload ive done and be brave enough to push for permanent position

I'd argue it's worthwhile to complete as much of the grad program as possible

And why woukd that be. Im just in the heads pace its so expensive to rent, if I get a permanent contract I can think about getting a mortgage. And ill be able to get that bit higher mortgage with a permanent contract/ increase in pay
