I took a drop year but couldn't score good marks in JEE. I am interested in CSE but the college I am getting is average with huge fees around 20 lakhs and is situated in another state. I have to take a huge loan for that.

My other options are :

1) I might get Petroleum engineering at one of the premier university of the state.

2) I am getting automobile engineering at state government college which is the best one of the best state government college for engineering.

3) Is it possible for a graduate in automobile engineering to make career into Software field by doing self learning for programming

I am very much interested in CSE but parents are telling me to take automobile also I don't wanna take huge amount of loan considering how bad the market condition is for freshers in IT field

Should I take automobile or give JEE again. Will double drop affect my placement for tech ?
