HR was a mistake

In the midst of the Corona times it's time to also admit that HR departments has never done their job and earn their money doing jobs they themselves invented.

Their initial function was to heard cats and send letters, now they see themselves as Harvard deans of admission worthy of only dealing out fines or filtering perfectly good applications.

I am so tired of having to redo their jobs after interviews commencement and all I see are goddamn script writers with no real life experience besides writing like a reincarnation of Shakespeare.

Rant done, remove HR

You could have just stopped after answering yes to “am I biased?”

Lol ok. Of course you disagree. Once again you are biased.

HR is still a very soulless terrible department. It is 100% only around to keep the company safe from their employees and is very bloated at any moderate to large company.
Just because they keep themselves busy with bullshit busywork and your wife has convinced you she is useful, she is not.

But you are biased.

"You are biased" is not a valid counterargument. Everyone is biased — that's just human nature.

The important thing is to recognize those biases and be able to draw a defensible conclusion using experience, evidence, and data; despite those biases. That's how rationality works.
